Congrats CNote, I'm another lurker and have loved your blog for the last few years, thanks for the laughs and good luck with the job. PS Liz-1800, if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything.

Here's an interesting article by an author who was interviewed by Lynn Barber a few years ago, poor Rafa never stood a chance. Why his PR guy let him be interviewed by her is a mystery, obviously didn't do his homework at all. http://www.nosacredcows.co.uk/opinion_pieces/588/my_interview_from_hell_with_lynn_barber.html

Yes I'm still here Aussiemarg trying to watch the match & do the housework at the same time. Let's hope Pico can serve this out now, though feeling a bit sorry for Meltzer he looks so dejected. He gave it his all yesterday and hasn't got anything left for the third set. @ Fern Goodluck for the Fed match, hope you have some fingernails left at the end!

Wow what a point by pico to break again, he looks totally pumped up now. Thanks Fern for the welcome bet you're looking forward to the next match, might be a while yet if pico manages to serve out the set.

Hi Lilscot thanks for the welcome. Yup Rafa certainly puts you through it though this year hasn't been too bad :) I haven't got any special method to help me through his matches though when things get tense a couple of glasses of wine help!! Pico serving for the second set, entertaining match this would love Pico to make it through but won't be too disappointed if Melzer wins as you say he deserves it after yesterday.

I'm yet another fan of the current number one! But also like Djokovic amongst others and love Gasquet when he's on which unfortunately is not often(: Saw him beat Verdasco in Nice which was a brilliant match, really exciting and his backhand is just beautiful!

Hi Aussiemarg, seems we're the only people here, I was beginning to think I had killed the thread with my first post! Good match this one hope pico can get this set.

"You think reaching the FO final and losing to Rafa is to be "held against" Fed, meanwhile Rafa failing to even reach the USO, WTF and AO finals several years running is to his benefit?" This is always brought up to try and put the head to head in a better light for Fed but don't forget that Rafa has 5 hard court masters on his worst surface and none of them were against Federer in the finals so where was he? Federer didn't reach the finals at Roland Garros until he was 24 in his prime just like Rafa at the USO. I think saying that Rafa failed to reach the USO, WTF and AO finals is just unfair let's see what he goes on to do now in his prime.

Thought you might like to see this article, pretty much sums up what I feel and made me laugh. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/tennis/article7010338.ece

Yes, c'mon Murray, he's playing great at the moment and really really wants this. I don't think Federer helped much with his usual needling of Murray to the press. Where's your firepower now Rog!
