There's been a lot of talk around here about the future of our family's homeschooling life. Call us crazy, but we think it would be a smart idea not to leave a bit of our freedom on the table and we should do something interesting and different with those high school years... a little brick an...
I, too, live in a "small New England city" (Greenfield, MA to be exact) and I wish you would bring your idea here... or maybe you are close enough for us to go to you!
On a more serious note, I have two business ideas rattling around in my brain and I often think to myself, "why not?" It could work. It's not so far-fetched. I just need to take the first step, and then see what happens. So, my first step is market research-- getting information about population size, income, etc that I might need for a business plan.
My word for 2011: LEAP.

Book Review and Giveaway! - The Practical Guide to Patchwork
*Edited* Comments are now closed! Thanks for entering! ^_~ I'm so thrilled that I've gotten the opportunity to preview this wonderful book published by Stash Books (Yay we're practically cousins, Elizabeth. :P). I've been a fan of Elizabeth's blog since well, gee forever maybe? Of all of Elizabe...
I've thought about the hat battle a lot this week because I have an 18 month old and sometimes, she is happy to put the hat but other days, she throws a fit. So, what I've decided is that not wearing a hat won't kill her and if it will kill her, then we have no business being outside anyway, if it's that cold. Ditto for gloves. I don't have the energy to fight with her.
We are so ready for spring
I just wrote an entire other post about this morning and how awful it was, how our morning struggle to get Henry out the door appropriately dressed got out of control. We get through very few mornings without a lost glove or a critical Hat Problem, and all too often this leads us down a death-spi...
This sounds bad but I always said if I had to go back to work, I would rather give my kid formula than pump. It seems like a huge hassle...
B**bs
Pumping at work is an adventure. I want to continue breastfeeding my daughter, so I have to pump at work to keep up supply and provide a bottle to daycare for the next day—not that the child actually takes a bottle, but that is another story. Right before school started, I awkwardly asked the ch...
Before I read this post, I left a comment on Dana Huff's FB that I love your new banner! (That's how I found out you were blogging again.) Welcome back!
Watch Me Grow
Do you like my new banner? My sweet and super-talented friend Heather designed it for me as a little present. Yes, I was much happier to receive her sketch than another pink pink pink baby outfit with little bows and “Cutest Girl” written all over it. For the baby of course… It took forever, but...
