Another application of the Green Party Kit---camping trips! Pictured here in use at Joshua Tree for a tenth birthday! We had fire-cooked meals, in aluminum foil. I didn't wash the dishes until two days later---and was pleased that the BBQ sauce didn't leave a trace on the white plates. Continue reading

The applications for Green Party Kits are numerous---here it is in use at our Little League Caps night. Every year, team ballcaps are distributed, cakes are auctioned as a fundraiser, and kids have a piece of cake with their teams. Usually, goodies are served with disposable goods---but not with the mighty Grasshoppers! Continue reading

I received this note from a parent in the San Diego Unified district last week: "Hi Tricia, I just wanted to thank you for including my son's school in your promotion of the green party kits. We used the plates today for our Valentine party and all the moms were really impressed with your idea. The kids had fun too because they felt they were using "fancy" plates instead of paper. Once their teacher explained that we can reuse them and that they were made from recycled products they were excited. Anyway, I thought I'd let you know that you... Continue reading

More great feedback from parents and teachers: "Dear Tricia, Thanks a million for the Green Party Kit that you left in the school office for us before Christmas, we made use of it for our Holiday classroom party, and it worked out just great! Many of our parents commented on how nice it was, and that they were happy we were using it and "going green" instead of wasting paper or stayrafoam plates and cups. It worked out beautifully, and it's so convenient!! I just put everything back into the container dirty, then took it home and threw it all... Continue reading

I just received this feedback from a Mom from Mt. Woodsen Elementary, Ramona, CA: "I used my Green Party Kit for the first time a few days ago at our class's winter celebration. It worked wonderfully! Loved having that size of plate and it was sturdy enough to hold the two (relatively large & heavy) frosted sugar cookies the kids were decorating. After the party the kids gathered the items and I dropped them in a bag and I washed them right up (in the dishwasher). It felt great to not have to fill up the teacher's trash can that... Want to include cloth napkins in your green party kit? I have recently discovered another Mom-powered, eco-entrenpeneur product: Litter free napkins! They are 100% organic cotton napkins made in the U.S. They come in sets of 5 in a variety of colors. I received some samples, and they look great---very soft with a colored trim. I'll be using them on Friday in the 4th grade holiday feast along with the green party kits. To find out more visit them at: Continue reading

We saw the Sunchips bag for the first time on the shelf! We were out with our dear friends, the Deckers, for dessert and decided to walk over to Vons to see the bag. When we flipped it over, a big cheer went up, causing a shopper to inquire what all the commotion was about. We told him the story and showed him the bag. He and his wife promptly put a bag in their cart and playfully asked me to sign it. Hilarious! Continue reading
