I absolutely love this! What a beautiful tribute to those women. So interesting to find all that detail of the day to day pleasures Emily enjoyed...those little things that make our ancestors feel so real to us. Your stitching is ,as always, wonderful! You’ve made me think of creating a family quilt...with a panel for each person...I better add that to my ever increasing “to do” do people ever find the time to be bored?! ;)

My Nan had The Lark Ascending played at her funeral (at her request) at the time, 17 years ago it was thought quite unusual...but now I think that maybe there are lots of Nanas out there that love it...I remember it as a very special part of the day, one that still makes me have goosebumps.... How lovely that you have all those special moments and memories to remember her by and especially that last crafting conversation...what a gem! Xx

I find journaling a perfect way to introduce creativity into my day without needing lots of time and has become a daily touchstone that allows me to record a snapshot of what has been important in my day and I hope it will be a lovely reminder in the future when I want to remember back...thank you for an opportunity to win a copy of this book...I checked it out online when you mentioned it before and I can't get a copy here...I'll keep my fingers crossed!

That book sounds delicious and informative and looks beautiful too...a perfect combination! I've just been advised to give up gluten by my doctor so the timing is perfect for some new ideas and inspiration...thank you both for offering such a generous giveaway...and for making the opportunity worldwide! ☺️ 🤞

I made your bento bags for three of my closest friends...different sizes, different fabrics...I used them as wrapping and filled them with themed gifts...and they all loved them! Another simple and very useful tutorial on your blog! Happy Christmas Melissa, to you and your family, hope it's full of good things and lots of laughs xxx

Yes that just about sums it up! I'm trying so hard to see the good bones this week... and not to scare the children...I wish I could be protected from the reality too...sometimes it just feels too much to absorb...

Cool! Which one will you be trying first? Please tell me you'll never be tempted to make layabout Larry, I agree he really is terrifying!
