I hated him because he insulted The U in an article before the 9/08 game. Before that, I liked him quite a bit. Then I started noticing all the other hypocritical things he did. And then my mom and I received a TWO HOUR lecture on how he was the greatest football player EVER on CHRISTMAS evening in '08 from the gator safety ex boyfriend (the same dude who I kicked out of my house for insulting Randy Shannon) and how Marve and J12 sucked I had finally had enough. Now even hearing Tebow's name makes my skin crawl.
He redeemed himself a little with that picture, though.
I wish him well in whatever he does, I just don't want to hear about him anymore.

As the University of Miami football team prepares to enter spring practice in about a week, I decided to take a look at the roster, and try an deduce how I’d like to see the roster eventually take shape heading into the fall. Keep in my mind these are only my opinions, and I really hope it spar...
I am with the congregation, Canez1. You need to go and support your girl. It's not her fault her friend is completely selfish and forgot to consult the football schedule. Your girl will DEFINITELY owe you one . . . or 50. Have fun collecting. ;-)
I would go ahead and claim FSWho weekend next year, though. Get it out there, and tell all her engaged/soon to be engaged friends that if they schedule their wedding on that day, you will not be in attendance.
That's called "notice" in my line of work. They can't hold you liable (get mad) if you already told them what's up!

JSQ, that's the key right there. people put so much into the wedding and not so much into the marriage. can just catch them the 2nd time around. plus the woman getting married seems to always think they need "everyone" there. end up so busy that they wouldn't notice anyone missing outside of the bridesmaids/groomsmen and the parents.
Posted by: Esteban | February 22, 2010 at 11:02 AM
Haha, I doubt I will be invited on the second time around after some of my comments about the bride's "loyalty to the U," etc. the first time.
I would like to think that if it was a close friend I would have skipped the game.
But then again, my close friends aren't a$$clowns who schedule their weddings on FSWho game day!
It's just wrong.
Canez1, I'm thinking it will be a 3:30 game. Let your girl throw bows to get the bouquet and get the f out of there and in front of the TV!
Sidenote: today a girl in the office is actually injured from fighting to get the bouquet at a wedding Saturday night. I don't get it.

JSQ, close friend? or more of an acquintaince?
Posted by: Esteban | February 22, 2010 at 10:42 AM
Like a close acquaintance. I think the only reason I was invited to the wedding was because her close friend was going to stay with for the wedding instead of getting a hotel.
I told them she could stay in my house, but that I wouldn't be there - I was in Trailerhasseee for the 2007 FSWho game. They were "shocked" that I would pick the game over the wedding.
Seriously?!
That game was f'ing awesome!
I heard the wedding sucked.
. . . and they are already divorced.
Moral of the story:
ALWAYS CHOOSE THE 'CANES!

Is this REALLY a wedding? Or another Mariah Carey concert?
j/k
My spin instructor played a Mariah song in class yesterday morning and I started cracking up thinking of you - and how much we rip on you. ;-)

Canez1, this is for you:

. . . and for the record, I have stopped speaking to someone who scheduled her wedding on UM/FSWho day.
It is selfish and rude. Who the he!! do you think you are?! There are 364 other days in the year. Pick one of those and leave the holy day alone!

My bi-polar disorder is under control, medically speaking.
Which is more than I can say for some of my German friends and some blond chick from Palm Beach County. LOL

Wow, I'm glad I got low-lights so I know this can't be about me, right? Because who would talk to the resident blog tailgate coordinator like that, right?
That, and I'm from Missouri.

Ne one got suggestions on getting tickets for the FSU game? lower level seats at the 50 yd line are expensive as my flight n hotel. How r upper level seats? I saw seats for 125 upper level row 1 40 yard line but in FSUs sideline
Posted by: PhillyCane | February 22, 2010 at 12:02 AM
Upper level seats are fine and many of the Canespacers sit up there. You can always sneak somewhere else if you want (says the girl who watched this season's game from row 10 of the FSWho student section)!
Also, don't worry about sidelines - doesn't mean much for this game. In 2008, I was SURROUNDED by 'Noles in the club section and I wouldn't doubt if there are many even in the alumni section (where I sit now).
Just get a ticket - any ticket, show up, have some jello shots and BBQ, and you will have a good time!

That was a continuation of his rant on Facebook:
This is a University that only cares about the next check you give them. They do not care about their students, alumni, or athletes. It's a big mistake to give them a dime -- especially tuition for a sub par education and useless degree that renders you unemployable in any field but marine biology.

The Palm Beach 'Canes Club is also collecting items for earthquake relief in Haiti. Here are ideas for what you can contribute:

You can stop by the build site at 531 42nd Street in WPB, 33407 between 8am-3pm tomorrow to drop off your donations!
