The Capitol: fancy clothes and sundae bars
We're moving along at about half-strength around here. One by one the girls are dropping to the same cold as it moves through each of them. This morning, Mary was the victim. Unfortunately hers is a mix of a migraine and the cold. So I'm chained to the sofa while we work through the worst of the...

Organize My Life Week Two: Organize Your Schedule
We are given twenty-four hours each day, in that twenty-four hours we each have a certain amount of things we want to accomplish. If we choose to spend that time wisely and efficiently in the end we will reduce our stress, have more time for the things we actually want to do, and all-in-all enjoy a more balanced life according to Mrs. Jennifer Ford Berry. It is pretty easy to leave things undone that we meant to do, the undone things tend to build up in the back of our minds and we are constantly nagged by them, which drains... Continue reading

Organize My Life Week One: Organize Your Mind
According to Mrs. Berry the first step of organizing my life is to organize my thoughts and getting started by clearing my mental clutter. She says its not our To Do list that causes us stress, its actually the way we feel about the list that determines our thoughts about it. So if we feel stressed and freaked out about our To Do list, chances are we won't get it all done. So she suggests when you have trouble completing a task to pause and ask your self what's stopping you, you might find a deeper issue that is standing... Continue reading

Happy New Years!!
Wow, its 2010 already! So much happened the last 365 days, both good and bad, I can't believe it's already over. My sweet, cuddly little baby is now a rambunctious and energetic toddler. She is so smart, seriously some of the stuff she figures out I can't imagine how she has learned already. I went from a horrible relationship that I can't imagine why I was ever in, to be back into a relationship with someone I never thought I would be with again (and I am so happy though that we are together and truly happy). I moved out... Continue reading

These Days
Sorry it has been so long. It feels like ages since I have sat down and typed. So much has happened this month, its crazy. The few times I have had a chance to sit down and type I haven't had enough time to tell you everything. First off, I got a new cousin this month on December 9th. Her name is Nolah Emile and she is adorable. She was a 36 weeker so she was a little early. She was 6lbz 3oz and 18" long. She is such a tiny little thing but looks just like her daddy, my... all prettied up for christmas
At this point in the game, our house is about as holiday ready as it ever will be. I've been sharing bits and pieces on flickr, usually my photo of the day, but I thought it would be nice to pull it all together here. I usually try to do one new project a year, but I didn't have it in me thi...
Such a sweet thing for them to do. And for you to do in return. It is nice to see someone enjoy the smaller things in life as much as your family does.
neighborly
We survived our first big storm of the year. They were calling for all kinds of exciting things like two feet of snow, high winds and blizzards. But we woke up this morning to sunny skies and about a foot of snow on the ground. The girls were out in it first thing yesterday morning, after the ...

Happy Monday
Happy Monday! Where did the weekend go? It seems like it just flew by and even though I did a lot (I am almost completely moved back into my parents house), I feel like there is so much more that I needed to do. Oh well, there is always next weekend, right? Okay so I guess potty training is now back on. Or atleast on a on-demand basis from Toot. Yesterday she came into the living room and pronounced "I need peepee" then grabbed my hand and pretty much dragged me to the bathroom. When I put her potty chair... Continue reading

Busy
Sorry I haven't posted in so long. This week has been hectic. Between work, finals, and Addi I haven't had time to stop and breath lol. But thats okay. I only have to work 4 days this week and so I get Christmas Eve and Christmas off! Me and Dusty are spending it at his parents house so they can see Addi Christmas morning. Tonight we are taking her to see Santa (yes, we waited this long lol. We were hoping not to do Santa this year but she figured out who he was anyway so we were left with... Continue reading

Twig & Vine Organic Bamboo Fleece Fitted Diapers Okay, when I was on my original diaper hunt I always was drawn to the simple diapers. The ones that don't have a lot of froo-froo if you know what I mean. With my love of etsy I quickly dove in to try to find someone who made what I was looking for at a reasonable price. And soon I found Twig & Vine, I liked how all the things in the store where very minimal and simple. Just what I was looking for. I decided to try the first one I... Continue reading

HELP!!!
Okay so I know this is not a serious issue but I can't decide and really really really need y'alls help. Thanks to Mollys post about her last recipe box I have decided that I need to do that to. After reading Molly's post I remembered that my Big Mama's recipe box was sitting on the counter at my Aunt Jeina and Uncle Jerry's house. Since I live on their property it wasn't long before me and Addi walked up there and the evening ended with me and my cousin Jeremy pouring over the box of recipes. Some in her... Continue reading
