I have just read that Metric played in Fredericton New Brunswick about 2 weeks ago. Here is a review. http://herenb.canadaeast.com/music/article/1312899 Did anyone here go to this under-advertised event? I would have made an attempt to go, since it is apparently... Continue reading

Wow, very nice. The orchestra arrangements were beautiful, and brought out different takes on the songs. And an excellent interview.
I would like to see this performance commercially released for fans to buy.
Vivid Festival Australia
Emily is presently in Australia as the special guest of Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson as part of the prestigious Vivid Festival at the Sydney Opera House! On Tuesday, she played a solo concert where she performed the songs from Fantasies on piano accompanied by a string quartet. On Friday, Emil...

I realllly wish I could be there. I am within 3 hours drive of the place but just cannot get there tonight.

Sweet potatoes? Sure! They're good as fries, and sometimes I cut them up in chunky pieces and roast them in the oven along with other root vegetables like turnip, parsnip and carrots.
Question of the day: Do you like sweet potatoes?...

Saw Metric on The Hour Holiday Special last night playing Trans Siberian Orchestra...they rocked! Awesome wigs too! I just wish George would have taken a second to talk to the band.
Pretty great. Not everyone will get the TransSiberian thingee joke, but hasn't Metric always been that way?: Laugh if you get, it, blink in utter confusion if you don't. The choir girls were excellent also, very well rehearsed.

I was just wondering, what bands/singers do you guys listen to besides Metric? I'm a big fan of Stars, Broken Social Scene, Rilo Kiley, Iron & Wine, Andrew Bird, Bon Iver, Damien Rice, Feist, Jason Collett, Rachael Yamagata, Regina Spektor, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and, obviously, Emily Haines & The Soft ...
This is absolutely fantastic, thanks for the quick response!

Too bad about the EP not being available in Canada until 2010.
I would recommend that Metric release Plug In, Plug Out as a high quality FLAC version, so we can hear the music as they performed it, rather than in the reduced quality of MP3s.
If the 2010 Canada launch was of higher quality, it would be worth waiting the extra months for it.
Do you think there is any chance of that?
