My Syle: everything; urban, funky, fresh, colorful, vintage, classic, & modern
Interests: So you wanna know a little bit about ME. I was born in 1979 in San Bernadino, CA and moved around alot in my childhood years. Most of my life was spent living in the BIG state of Texas. That is where my love for photography started. I can remember spending hours with my Aunt and Uncle taking pictures. Back then my camera was a 35 mm Kodak film camera. I had my first experience in a dark room with them and that is where I saw photography come to life. Here I am an adult and many years later and still taking pictures. I have always been a person who really appreciated the little moments in life. The moments that define us, that shape who we are, the ones we will never forget. I have a very unique and fun approach when it comes to my clients. I enjoy capturing that smile, that glance...that genuine expression of who you are. I love of capturing moments so they are not forgotten just multiplied. I feel so blessed to be able to provide that for others. So that brings my story to you! I want to capture YOUR story so contact me if you need a storyteller. Vist our BLOG to see some of the stories we've told.

I am a scrapbooker. I love to make mini albums. I haven't done as many recently...but I did do this one a while back and wanted to share it with you. I made it for by best, D. She and I met about 5 years ago and have remained extremely close despite the fact she now lives in NY. We manage to skype scrap often and that helps. The last time I saw her was April of 2010. She was a mama of a then 3 year old and an 18 month old. I wanted to make her something I... Continue reading

Well, the last installment of HSH was in February. She is sure you don't want ALL the details over the last 6 months...so you will be spared. Instead, she will just fill you in the past month...September. For her the biggest focus was on potty training. Many a treats were consumed, "good job!" and "you're such a big girl was said." Big question here: Did it work? Yes, it has. However as of late we are still dealing with accidents...almost daily. (I know...2 is her age!) She and her made a trip up to Indiana to see family. It had... Continue reading

Being a stay at home mama isn't easy. I don't sit at home and eat chocolate. I don't watch TV all day (we don't even get TV stations). I don't go out for lunch everyday (we eat ham sandwiches and leftovers). BUT, I do get to spend everyday with Sophia and I would not want to trade that for anything. My house is cleaner than it's ever been. I am able to cook (which I love). My laundry is not overflowing out of the hamper. I feel very blessed that I am able to stay at home. That being said,... I think... No... I know I sometimes forget to tell my husband how much I appreciate him. These last several months and most importantly the last couple of weeks have taught me alot about myself. I stay at home with my daughter everyday. My husband goes out to work. Only the last several weeks he hasn't worked. Several weeks ago Anthony was playing volleyball and broke his pinky finger. After going to the doctor he found out that he not only broke it in one place, but two. He also found out that he would never be able to play... Continue reading

Over these last several months I've come to realize that I need a plan. I need a list. I need something to help guide me. I need something to mark off. I've done some Bible studies this year and wanted something basic. So, I'm starting a new Bible reading plan that I wanted to share, in case any of you are also interested in using it to guide you through your Bible. Let me also say, HONESTLY... I have never read through the Bible in a year. (kinda sad, I know) The one that I'm using is a chronological reading... Continue reading

It's been awhile since I've posted some layouts. Here's some I've completed this week. These are challenge pages I've been doing with my far away, dear, awesome friend D. I looked back over my challenge album...and our first challenge was in July of 2009! To date we've done 122 challenges and I am quite shure that our scrap albums are much more thicker because of it. If you are on a tight budget like I am, you are always looking for inexpensive toys for your toddler. So, while looking through a friends photos I spied her daughter sitting with a tupperware container filled with beans. Beans? Yes beans. She said her daughter loves to sort and play with the beans. So, I thought I would give it a try with mine. Beans = success! Sophia will sit and sort the beans, scoop the beans, and cook with the beans. She loves it! Sometimes Sophia will get so excited scooping from one container to the next she... Continue reading

How is it not even October yet and I'm already thinking about pumpkins? Simple. I love fall. I love the smells, the colors, and the traditions. The folks at Country Living did an amazing decoupage job on this pumpkin, using 120 photocopied images from Pictorial Webster's, a visual dictionary of curiosities. Continue reading

July 4th for us was a 2 day extravaganza! It began with a concert and a firework show on July 3rd. It was Sophia's first time seeing fireworks...thankfully she didn't scream or cry but she did ask to hold our hands. She called them BOOMS. The next day we went to a parade in the little town of Wilmore with some awesome friends and ended the night in Versailles with a picnic dinner, music, and another show. It was such a blast! (hehe) Continue reading

Hard to believe that 2 years ago (1 year ago) this little bundle was born. Now, she is in full toddler mode including but not limited to: jumping, ever-increasing vocabulary, dancing, a recent obsession with washing her hands, doing things herself, pink, babies, chalk, books...and unloading the dishwasher (yes, everytime she hears me open the dishwasher up she comes running to help). We had a little party for Soph at our house and celebrated with cupcakes and ice cream. Continue reading

It almost didn't happen (read here if you want to know more), this one week vacation to the sunny beaches of Ocean Isle. But it did. We traveled down with some awesome friends (like family). Imagine eighteen of us, one house, 4 bathrooms, a pool...and yes ocean front view. We had an absolute blast and made some awesome memories. We all needed a little bit of... We all wish the beach wasn't just a "once a year thing". And yet, because it is what it is, I look on the bright side. Because there's something really magical about visiting a... Continue reading

It's 11:03pm and I am just now sitting down to blog. I'm exhausted ... but I am excited! Tomorrow I will be leaving in the morning to attend Joyce Meyer's three day conference in St. Louis, MO. I will be traveling with my dear friend Laura, her mom and sister. I am expecting it to be great. I am expecting it to be life-changing. I am expecting to miss Sophia like crazy (it will be the first time we have been apart this long). I am expecting to come home renewed and refreshed. I am expecting to have a new... Continue reading

I really don't mind traveling. So when my mom called me on Friday asking me if I wanted to go up to Indianapolis (with my sister and Hannah) for a family baby shower I said sure. I will spare you all the last minute details that took place and the 25 phone calls that happened. It was set: We were meeting at my house at 9. The baby shower started at 2. This would give us PLENTY of time to eat lunch and have several potty breaks in between. Indianapolis is about 3 hours away. Saturday, 9:10am: Of course, JoAnna... Continue reading

It was June 9th. It was a hot day. I was excited...we were leaving for Ocean Isle Beach on Saturday. Sophia would see the beach for the first time. I remember I was doing some last minute loads of laundry. I was sitting on the couch folding laundry when Anthony came home for his break from work. Little did I know the conversation that would take place would change my life forever. It would test my faith in the Lord. It would impact our marriage...our life...our everything. You see Anthony came home from break to tell me that he was... Continue reading

Earthquakes, tornadoes, blizzards, hurricanes, flooding, hail, tsunamis, hail, extreme heat, wildfires, etc... The last few months it seems like this stuff has been on overdive. I've witnessed some of this powerful weather on my own and heard about it on the news. Then I see a map like this... Where To Live to Avoid a Natural Disaster. I think of all my family in Texas and at the same time secretly thinking moving to the northwest or to Alaska might not be a bad idea. Hehe. Wherever you are I hope you feel safe. Continue reading
