Arizona Sunshine
The blog tour for April Rhodes' Arizona line with Art Gallery fabrics is winding down and I'm happy to be a part of it! When I started seeing April's pics of her line, I was infatuated by them. But when I received them in the mail, I was surprised by how much more I love these fabric...
My son and daughter-in-law have given me the most joy. They are expecting a baby boy in February and include me in all the news of her pregnancy. I'd hope to see them this X-mass but she is unable to fly. But my son promised to visit in the summer with my grandson in tow.
Shorter days...
It's kind of a double-whammy, isn't it? Just when you need a little more time in a day - a few more hours - the days are shorter and pass so much more quickly. I know, there are still twenty-four hours in a day and they don't technically pass any faster... whatever. They do go faster - I don't...
Congratulations! Now for the questions:
What education/background helped you in your business?
How long is the process in putting out a fabric line?
Where do you see the quilting industry going in 5 years?
What advice do you have for others who what to break into selling patterns or creating fabric lines?
How do you come up with all those great patterns?

Stop. Go. Quilt. Sew!
Do you have sons? Or grandsons? Or special little (or big!) boys in your life? As a quilt designer, one of the comments I hear so often from people is how few patterns there are that are good for boys. I suppose there are so many pretty fabrics out there, we designers get distracted making p...
Can't go wrong when Amy's fabrics are in the mix. Great pairing, I'm having salmon tonight what fabrics would you pair with it? :)
Here's to a little Red, White, and Blue
I hunted high and low for my latest picks! In the spirit of the 4th of July holiday here in the States, I built my palette from the red, white, and blue colored Kasbah design from Amy Butler's Lark collection. The other designs are from the Flea Market Fancy, Maya, Chevron, Anchors Away, a...

My name is Jean Wells and I have been quilting forever... and I LOVE SOLIDS!!! www.jeanwellsquilts.com Working with solid color fabric is such a treat for me. I love the challenge of creating a composition that speaks to the inspiration that I have chosen. I learned early on that no color is al...

My blue pile has evolved into a mountain and now is a volcano ready to explode. Thanks for helping me decide on the fabric for my next quilt. :)
My Stop on the Scrap-Applique Playground
Hello and welcome to my little stop on the Scrap-Applique Book-A-Round. I don’t know about you guys, but I get very attached to my appliqué fabrics. I don’t know exactly why but when I am getting to the end of one of my favorites I get very stingy with it….and a tiny bit sad. I have a little...
I'm loving this "Blog Hop", so many new blogs to read and get inspiration from. :)

Fall-O-Ween Treat Jar
Fun Autumn snacks deserve a fun place to reside ... until they're snatched up and devoured! Our family loves candy corn and peanuts mixed together ... and for those who don't know, the 3:1 ratio is perfect. Three peanuts to one candy corn ... tastes just like a Salted Nut Roll. I used scraps o...
