I posted this earlier on the other blog, I know there are knowledgeable people here who will know how this will work...so I'm re-posting: someone who truly has a clue please tell me how we are going to fit Henderson in scholarship-wise. I know 1 of our kids is def going to prep school but the other 3 still might end up here and I thought we didn't have room for any more...I'm confused.

Hey guys, I'd like some opinions. I know this is the place for that! I'm going to join one of these websites for UM info during the spring. Which is best? Should I join Scout, Rivals or Inside the U? Rate your answers purely on content please. BG, I know this will be something you have an opinion on, make sure to give me your 2 cents please.

Supposedly Storm looks just as good as Lamar Miller so there's nothing to worry about as far as numbers IMO. I'm more concerned Miller won't contribute this season. Only because of the pattern of spring injuries turning into season-ending ones at stacked UM positions (we're stacked at RB). I was looking fwd to seeing Miller run this season.

I can't make the spring game either. Sucks! I thought I heard somewhere that the game would be shown live on CSS... Was that a dream?

The Canes basketball team is going to need a load of scoring help from guards and forwards in order to have a better season next year. Their offense is pathetic. They don't need guys that sit behind the 3 pt line either, they need slashers and finishers!

This Oregon coach Chip Kelly is a major tool. There is no reason I can see to suspend Masoli for the ENTIRE season when he plead guilty to a misdemeanor. He hammered down this punishment in a press conference only hours after Masoli's legal decision was finalized. This is the same jackhole who suspended LaGarett Blount for the entire season after his punch last year. That was another knee-jerk, PR type suspension. He's also levied a 1 game suspension on RB LaMichael James who pleaded guilty of misdemeanor harassment and got 10 days in jail. This man's punishments are consistently inconsistent! The kid who gets actual jail time only has to serve 1 game but a different kid who gets no jail time is gone for the entire season? This is unexplainable and unexcusable. Someone needs to suspend Kelly for improper handling of the career of his student-athletes. **Side note: The media is harping on what a tough first year it has been for Kelly. They're noting that even though Oregon won the Pac-10 their season has been marred by off-field incidents. Maybe they're right, but they certainly aren't reporting anything like that for Florida, who has probably had more than twice as many arrest in the last 12 months. To the media, Florida simply had a successful season.

MaryLou, Nothing Sapp does surprises me. He's a notorious A-hole. Yes, he was a great player and yes he's good on TV as well. But in real life he's an A-hole and if you're a Canes fan it won't save you from it either. I know two guys, both Canes fans and UM grads, that he was an A-hole to. One guy (my buddy is small) he physically tried in front of my buddy's fiance. The reason I say he's notorious is that everyone in the media knows that Sapp is an A-hole. I'm not a big fan of the guy. I think he's a douche. If I ever saw him I wouldn't say hi or approach him in any way.

Our basketball team flat out stinks. Their offense is terrible and is not improving. I remember calling this futile ACC play when UM was actually winning games (I'm not the only one, 86 saw this coming too). I still have faith in Haith. This is just a rebuilding year. He has good young players and is recruiting better players than UM has ever gotten before.

def a tough schedule but also there are lots of opportunities to leap over other teams in the rankings. There is also room to lose a game and then recover by beating a quality opponent the week after. It's certainly a double edged sword tho. If we aren't as good in 2010 as I hope we are then we could end up with a shotty record.

Gore is def one of my fav's as well. I admire him most of the former Canes for his dedication. The injuries and the learning disabilities couldn't stop him.
