I would be all over this, but if I had a spare Benjamin lying around I'd be spending it on booze before booze workouts.

I've done a little (light) reading into cognac cocktails lately... Thanks for posting a resource that has more information than "cognac is to brandy as bourbon is to whiskey"

Too cool! I've been looking lately for more information on infusions and getting the spice cabinet out of the kitchen and into the bar. If I don't win a copy of the book (*fingers crossed*) I'll definitely have to order one...

For as incredibly nerdy as this topic is, I'm VERY glad to have subscribed to your RSS so I would (eventually) find information like this. It would be more difficult and costly, but have you tried "vacuuming" the air out of the water before freezing? I wonder if one of those home vacuum-sealing appliances would be able to pull the gases out of the water. My guess is they don't have enough power...

Thanks for that JR! I was thinking about Gourmet right after the mention of Bon Apetit.

Excellent MxMo! I was just thinking about vermouth as a cocktail unto itself on Saturday. Looking forward to the recipes submitted!

Banana sandpaper? Best tasting note ever. Hopefully I'll get to taste this fine whisky sometime and know just what you're talking about.
