Wow, I finally managed to find time to say hello!! I cannot tell you how much I missed you, and sharing all the excitement that goes on in my craft room :) The past year I have been as busy as ever, trying to adjust to a new life. As Crystal has shared, I recently had a baby! I am now a's still a little strange to say it haha. He is now 4 months old, his name is Kai and he is super cute...although my opinion is slightly biased :) What do you think of his Hallowe'en costume?... Continue reading

Hi Nicki, Would you be able to send me a picture of the paper you are using? Then I can have a good base to brainstorm from. You can email it to me at [email protected]. Thanks, Akiko :)
Hi There! I would love to help you out. I have sent you an email with some information. I have had a few requests for the measurements for the inserts. It took me a long time to find them in my computer file mess, but I decided to post them here for those who want them: Invitation: 4.25"W, 5.9"H RSVP: 4"W, 3.75"H Directions: 3.85"W, 3.2"H Information: 3.8"W, 2.5"H These measurements are for the printed portion of the inserts. Unfortunately I do not have another version of the invitation anymore, so I cannot check to see what the measurements are for the back mount pieces. They were not much bigger, because they have to fit inside the pocket. So just double check the size of the pocket and make the largest insert a bit smaller so it will slide in nicely. I believe I did 2 layers of paper; teal and damask, to showcase the colors of the wedding. You will definitely want to do at least one mount - and make sure you use tacky tape!! the other stuff does not hold. Thank you for your kind words, and we are so happy that we inspired you!! ~Akiko
Hi there, I just printed them at home on a laser printer. We used a higher quality paper, a bit of a gloss to it and nice and thick to give it some weight. We did the design on adobe illustrator and fit 2 invitations per sheet. Just make sure you change the paper settings to get the best print. You may want to do a couple of trial ones first. Hope that helps! Happy Holidays :D
And the fun continues! We had such a good time at the shower, it really was worth all the time, energy and creativity! Again, a huge thank you to blogger Hostess with the Mostess at - she has the most amazing ideas for fabulous parties! I would also like to give a huge thank you to Performing Dance Arts (PDA), located in Woodbridge. Without their help and support, we would not have been able to host such a wonderful shower for such a wonderful person. Thank you so much!!! Here are some more pics of different things we did... Yay!!! I am posting! My goodness, I have been trying to get to this computer for weeks to do a post. My life has been turned upside down for the past month with different events, and one of them was my beautiful sister Sabrina's bridal shower. We decided to go with a secret garden theme, because she LOVED that book as a child. She was obsessed with gardens and the magic that they provide. What goes best with a garden theme? A tea party of course! My sister loves very romantic stuff, and the victorian era is a perfect reflection... Continue reading

Wow....I must say it took me a lot longer this time around to snap out of my turkey coma! Is this going to be a recurring trend? I hosted Thanksgiving at my house this year for the first time, with a whopping 12 people! (Okay, I know some people host 30 or more people, but that was a lot for me!) How many people did you have over for turkey feasting? Leave a comment and let me know! Everything turned out amazing. The turkey was delicious (phew!), and we all ate till we almost passed out! - Well for some... Continue reading

Can I just start off by saying that I had the most WICKED bridal party EVER!!!!! They all went above and beyond to make my shower extra special. When I first walked into my mom's house (My moma is such a FABULOUS host!) My breath was literally taken away. It was so special, the decorations were AMAZING and the FOOD! So much delicious food.....mmm.... This was my cover page. I used whisper white SU cardstock and stamped it with french filigree in teal, and a clear damask stamp in black to create my own patterned paper. The tissue flower, picture... Continue reading

Being a crafter, and I am sure every crafter will agree, when there is a big event in my life, I have to stretch my brain and create almost everything myself! Which is exactly what I did for my wedding. I think I went a bit too far with my wedding though, I was so exausted afterward!!! I dont have my professional pics yet, so I took these pictures after the wedding in my basement. Here is what I made: 1) WISHING TREE - The wishing tree was a substitute for my guest book. Its an asian tradition that I... Continue reading

It was Hailey's 11th birthday party on Saturday, and when she told me she wanted a Twilight birthday I drooled in delight - what could be more fun than planning a party around vampires and wolves?? With red, white and black as the color scheme, I quickly jumped into action and planned a twi-hard party in just 2 days. phew! But what fun it was!!!
