Somewhat dystopian which I would add to this list is _The Repossession Mambo_, the basis of the recent movie _Repo Men_. In the future, all body organs can be artificially manufactured. If you need one, you can get it replaced, but it is not cheap. Not to worry, the Credit Union will be happy to give you credit, if you qualify of course. However, fail to make the payments, and the CU will send out their repo agents after you to retrieve CU property. This is basically, in a nutshell, a dystopia where health care for profit and the current trend of profiting off the poor (RTO's, Payday Loans, etc) go the extreme. Best, and keep on blogging.
It does feel like the end of an era. I did read the Carnival in and out. And my own blogging has fallen back as well. Posting a link on FB with a brief comment at times gets more attention than a post. Not that I was looking for the attention, but it is easier to do that than to open your blogging software and write something. Plus, in my case, my work has severely cut on my blogging. I am sad to see some liberal bloggers giving up since there is still much to write about overall, but I can understand some of the reasons. Best, and keep on blogging.

I saw that story a while back. What I "love" (insert the snark as needed) is the line about "“We want to be good stewards, so the people that are donating to us trust we're going to do the right thing,” said Sonya Scott, manager of care ministries at West Houston Assistance Ministries." I am sure you do, when the right thing means enforcing your brand of racism, bigotry, and ignorance but justifying it as "good stewardship." Yea, that's right, your charity comes with conditions now. Simply wrong. Best, and keep on blogging.
