"Don’t muddle your queries with obsequious disclaimers" I have been guilty of this one! Fortunately these days I reread my queries at the end of an edit to see if I've answered any of them myself and they often get shortened or clarified.

For life I really like Google Calendar. I have two calendars, one for me and one for the kids, but I display them together (different colours). It really works well for keeping track of appointments, activities, vacation, etc., and does reminders if you want them. At work, I'm not as organized as I would like to be so I purchased a really cheap (like $10) web program called Toodledo ( It has a whole bunch of features like prioritizing, dating, grouping, etc., but I find just plugging the stuff in and ticking it off is as much as I have the patience for. When I use it, it works well. I am the problem, not it! Other than that, because I work full time, do freelance work, volunteer in more than one organization and have 3 kids at home where I am the lone parent, well I just fly by the seat of my pants.
