Nothing against his music, but this kid is growing more annoying for every story that is posted about him.
yeah, we get it dude, you're fucking edgy and like to "rage".
For every time I hear this kid, I don't hear him talking about music. It's not 'this is the type of shit I'd like to put out' or 'here is where I see myself as an artist in the next couple years' or 'it would be great to work with so & so'...
...it's always "I fucking rage and break rules to try and give myself street credibility, look at me".
It's to the point where I don't want to hear his music because his personality sucks so bad.
Machine Gun Kelly Vows To Remain A Bad Boy, "Rules Were Meant To Be Broken"
Bad Boy Records' Machine Gun Kelly plans to live up to his record label's name after recently discussing plans to break the rules on his joint tour with Midwest rap veteran Tech N9ne.
Troutman (Zapp, same thing since he was the leader) is a bit different because they were the originators. They brought something new to the table.
But even still, as good as Roger was at making Funk / R&B hits, he was assisted by a talk box and wasn't using his voice to carry the song.
Also, T-Pain has two more grammys than Troutman, which in itself is sad.
Seal & Drake Lead The Way, Young Jeezy Loses Top 10 Status, K'Naan Invades The Chart
In this week's Sales Wrap, Seal and Drake lead the pack, Young Jeezy loses his spot in the Top 10 and rapper K'Naan invades the chart.
I look at lip singing and auto-tune on the same level. You aren't using your real voice or vocal talents to carry you through the song.
T-Pain has two Grammys.

Hammer went Diamond in the U.S.
Vanilla Ice was 7x Platinum in the U.S.
According to the "numbers don't lie" theory, both Hammer and Vanilla Ice are better rappers than Common.
Followers follow numbers.

I stand corrected.
Just looked up suicide rates and it's actually the highest among senior citizens.
You'd think by the time you're that old you pretty copacetic with life, but I guess not.
Love, Peace, Soul: Don Cornelius Dead At 75
Entertainment legend and Soul Train creator Don Cornelius was found dead in early Wednesday (February 1) morning, in what is being reported as a suicide.
I think rappers just publicly say their willing to make bets with anyone are full of shit and are trying to make it seem like they have more money than they really do.
If he was that confident, he would go to Vegas and put 50k on the the Hawks winning it all.
As of now, the Hawks are 50 to 1 odds to win the championship. 50k would win him 2.5 million. Put your money where your mouth is and go make that bet in Vegas.
If he comes out and says "nobody wanted to take that bet" then he's full of shit.
Pill Makes Sky High NBA Finals Bet, "I'm Willing To Put Up $50K For Anybody Who Want It"
Southern rapper Pill is so confident in his hometown Atlanta Hawks not only making it to the NBA playoffs but to the Finals, he is willing to bet $50,000 on it.
Unless dying of a terminally ill disease that's causing you to live in pain, why would a 75 year old man kill himself?
Something doesn't add up here.

If he bets 5 million and wins, regardless of where he bets, you know he's going to brag about it. You don't think the government has a way of finding out if he magically gets $5 mil?
If they want their taxes, they'll take it.
"If Birdman Is Prepared To Put His Money Where His Mouth Is, We're Prepared To Accept His $5 Million Wager"
Cash Money Records' Birdman better be careful what he wishes for as a gambling website claims it is prepared to match his $5 million Super Bowl XLVI bet.
When I first saw the banner pick, I thought it was Dave Chappelle dressed up as Lil John. YEAH!
2 Chainz Leaves Ludacris, "It's Not DTP No More"
Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz is capitalzing off his recent mainstream success by leaving Ludacris' Disturbin' Tha Peace for a career run at Def Jam Records.
1. Common has never been about sales. After two decades in the game, why would he all the sudden care about his record sales? Especially considering the fact he makes more off of movies / t.v. than he does music.
2. Why would Drake now say 'oh he's just trying to get sales, this isn't hip hop, bla bla bla', when he called Common out at a concert even though Sweet never mentioned him by name? Once you respond, it's a battle. You can't go back and say you don't want to battle.
3. How are you going to point out people love common because he speaks from the heart and speaks his mind, then get mad at him for speaking his mind on the state of 'sweet' rappers now-a-days? It's a two way street. You can't like him for speaking his mind on one issue, then get mad when he speaks his mind on another.
4. There are probably a dozen rappers who would fall under the intentions of Sweet, but Com isn't battling any of them. Probably because none of them spoke up and try to call him out.
Drake Breaks Silence On Common Beef, "That Situation Is Not A 'Hip Hop Moment'"
Young Money's Drake has finally come forward to address the recent war of words between him and rap veteran Common, admitting he has no interest in furthering their feud.

Diddy Explodes Over Machine Gun Kelly's Bust, "Where The F*ck Are You At?"

Guessing you never even heard of Blu before. Youtube Blu & Exile Below the Heavens.
If you listen to that album and still think he sucks I question your knowledge of hip hop.

Drake Fan Forehead Tattoo Tale Takes Twisted Turn, "Our Heads Are About To Explode"
Weeks after a woman became an overnight Internet sensation for tattooing Drake's name across her forehead, someone has actuallly inked the female fan's image on their arm.
Part of me agrees with that, but the Tatoo artist isn't the one who went on a big rant saying when he sees Drake he's gonna fuck him up.
Drake brought all of it on himself.
If he doesn't want to fight and just focus on money that's cool. But he should stop making all these threats knowing he doesn't want to bring it to that level.
Drake Squashes Tattoo Artist Beef, "Everybody Can Now Move On"
Young Money star Drake has reportedly squashed issues with a California-based tattoo artist who made headlines last fall for tattooing his name across a woman's forehead.
If 50's going to say he's focusing on the charity, why not keep the bet, but the loser has to pay the money to the winners charity of choice?
At worst, he makes Birdman look like a greedy asshole. At best, a shit load of money will go to a good cause.
UPDATE: 50 Cent Calls Off Super Bowl Bet, "I Change My Mind"
G-Unit leader 50 Cent has decided to call off plans to go head-to-head with Cash Money's Birdman in a million dollar bet on next month's Super Bowl.
I see what he's trying to say with James Brown and the samples he's provided for hip hop, but not sure how he makes a top 5 EMCEE list.
Maybe top 5 most influential artist to hip hop.

I didn't ask you that. Pretty sure you've proven my point.

Gotcha. Don't sell, means you fell off.
Quick hypothetical scenario:
Justin Bieber can put out a rap album and go platinum even if it's the worst thing to happen to hip hop since Hammer Pants because he has the hype machine around him.
At the same time, Kendrick Lamar can drop an album that is considered on par with illmatic, but only sells 10k albums because there is no media push, radio spins, mtv love for him.
In your world, Kendrick Lamar fell off, but Beiber is a hip hop monster.
If that's not what you are saying , please clarify, because that's definitely what it seems like you are getting at...

Not just talking about Marley Marl...anyone in music. If they aren't selling, they fell off. At least that's what you said above.
I'm just trying to determine your idea of falling off. It seems to mean that they don't sell anymore, so they fell off, and has nothing to do with the actual music they put out.
Also, who says they are 'trying so hard to be relevant'? Couldn't music be their passion and they just enjoy it?

Appreciate the reply. I just don't buy into it. I was raised Catholic, but after researching all the different types of religion I've come to one solid conclusion..... it's all man made & much of it is b.s.
I do believe in God, however every religion under the sun was written by a human. A human with their own thoughts, faults, and agendas.
Catholics are told not to eat meat on Fridays during Lent. The origination of this 'rule' was implemented as 'the word of God' but in reality there was a cow shortage and it was the government's way of controlling what the people eat.
There are rules in the bible saying women should never be permitted to speak in church. Yet, rules like this aren't practiced today as they aren't convenient to peoples lives.
When these ancient books were written, women weren't viewed as equals. So priests and preachers now will 'change' these rules as it fits their agenda. The Catholic church would receive far less in weekly tithes if they still abide the law that women need to shut their mouth in church.
For God to give free will towards people, allow murderers and rapist to roam free, often times never being caught or punished, I refuse to believe that he has that bad of self esteem that he would smite a rapper who took his name in vein, or sang about being the devil, or dressed up like Jesus. Shit, I dressed up like Jesus in 3rd grade for a school play....blasphemy!
I don't mean to disrespect your religion or beliefs, but in my mind religion is 99% fluff and b.s. I prefer to be spiritual and live an honest life rather than follow some man made rules that some guy made up 10,000 years ago.
Nearly every major war in the history of the world was started because of religion. A man made creation.

so in your mind, if they aren't selling, they fell off?
so in reality, 99% of anyone that goes into the studio and records albums fell off because in this day and age, 1% of all musicians are selling, the rest...fell off.

It's unfair to blame their deaths on blasphemy. What about Brotha Lynch, Esham, & Necro who all have horrorcore rap and have blasphemous lyrics scattered throughout, yet they've all enjoyed a career of 20+ years in the industry?
What about the RZA who on the Gravediggaz second album said "how many more youths gotta die before we realize there's no God in the sky?" - he's still having a pretty successful career.
What about Nas who once rapped about 'snuffing Jesus'?
For every Tupac that might have said something controversial and died, you have 2 dozen emcees who have said or done a lot worse, yet still have successful careers.

15 years isn't a short amount of time.
