It seems that more Ebay sellers have had a chance to either upgrade their Ebay store, or have a store for the first time. One of the underutilized features of a store is the CUSTOM PAGE. Ebay provides 15 pages that you can set up as a way to give more information to buyers, promoting products and some people are even using it to put video showing their products as well as pictures. As a result, these leave you with many opportunities to attract customers. The key is you can benefit by attracting people who are currently at your Ebay... Continue reading

LIFE Article today in NME reveals that Keith Richards will be providing a "kaleidoscopic bunch of experiences". This could be an interesting biography if Keith really opens up and reveals very personal information instead of just rehashing his most publicly known exploits. Pre-order of this book is available on Amazon Continue reading

SOME SELLERS ARE OVERLY OPTIMISTIC Granted the the Apple Ipad has been the most talked about item recently. Especially as we get closer to the release date. But this Ebay Top Rated Seller is a little unrealistic. Just a little. Check it out: Apple iPad 16GB Wi-Fi NIB!!! I just might make an offer! 12 others have so far. Good luck to this gutsy Ebay seller! Continue reading

LABEL TIP OF THE DAY The labels that I use are 8.5" x 11" and have one cut halfway down. To save money, I set the controls in Paypal to NOT do a receipt and when printing, it is only using half the sheet. IThis enables me to 're-use' the sheet. By the way, I also save the backer sheets, and use those often as packing material. Printing Postage Labels One of the really great features about selling on Ebay has been the ability to print postage from PayPal directly from your printer. When that became available to do many... ALL TYPES OF CARS ARE FOR SALE ON EBAY Want to upgrade from your Toyota that may go too fast when it shouldn't? Try the 2008 Bugatti Veyron EXOTIC . This car will go FAST when YOU want it to. Pretty sure you can arrange a favorable rate with your bank for this beauty. One of the great abilities that Ebay has with cars is a buyer can easily search nationwide for the desired vehicle. That aspect can increase the selling price for a seller or make the time shorter to sell. When you list on just a local classified... Continue reading

IS THIS LISTING A MIS-USE OF THE MULTI-VARIATIONS LISTING FEATURE? Just ran across a listing I wanted to share and comment. Nestle/ Hershey/ Reese/ Ghirardelli & more Baking Chips I'm a huge fan of the recent addition of Multi-Variation and very much looking forward to it being rolled out into more categories at the end of this month. But, as much as I would encourage using some ingenuity when utilizing this feature, I do fear some sellers may mis-use the feature, in my opinion as it is used in the above example. I do not object to listing these items... Continue reading

RARE NINTENDO GAME BRINGS $$$$$$$$ As shown in this blog last week, an auction on Ebay went for $13K+ as a woman was able to sell a rare game as part of a lot listed. Well another seller has come across a FACTORY SEALED NEW NES NINTENDO STADIUM EVENTS NTSC and is already getting LOTS OF BIDS for this very rare item. If you're like me, you are counting the days for yard sales to return in the better weather! Continue reading

COLLECTORS OF APPLE COMPUTER MEMORABILIA WILL WANT THIS The NYC Apple Store Glass StairCase is now up for auction on Ebay. Well it is NOT the whole staircase. Just one broken stair. I guess it might have some value to a collector of Apple, but not sure what the value would be. Certainly would be nice to have the entire staircase that you could climb up to a computer room. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. One might claim this is an insignificant item as far as historical merit for Apple. Maybe someone will be enterprising... Continue reading

$9.99 Starting Price on eBay Yields Big Payoff EBAY LISTING FOR THIS ITEM Just goes to show you that the RIGHT items still do extremely well on Ebay. It pays to do research and also keep your eyes open for items that can generate 36 bids like this one did. Continue reading

STRATEGIES FOR THE NEW FEE STRUCTURE First-let me point out that the new fee structure that Ebay announced a couple of weeks ago should be a winner for most sellers on Ebay. Every seller faces a different situation, and I know that many have been seriously contemplating these changes. Some are worried about determining which factors should be taken into consideration regarding methods of listing. I just wanted to take a moment and point out a very important change that needs to be considered very carefully by every Ebay store owner of any tier. If you currently have SUBTITLES on... Just had to take a moment and comment on this listing. At first glance it looks like it may be an actual prop from the show, or maybe an authentic toy. But lo and behold this is "a one-of-a-kind, handmade paper-maché replica of Clocky from Pee-wee's Playhouse" Since Pee Wee Herman is out performing again, this may be the right time to list some of his items that you have been hoarding. A raw search on Ebay shows that currently there are 273 Results for PEE WEE HERMAN. Continue reading

SECOND LIFE FOR LIGHTWEIGHT PACKAGING It goes without saying that when you receive an item in a cardboard box at home or work, it is only natural if you sell on Ebay, to save the box for re-shipping. Many municipalities around the country no longer allow you to trash cardboard and require it to be placed in recycling bins. The most common way to re-use the boxes for a new shipment is to keep it intact, then place an appropriate side object inside. Also a good practice is to rub-out any names/markings. At that point you can reseal and ship.... Continue reading

GREAT SEASONAL ITEM TO SELL ON EBAY A wonderful inexpensive item to sell during the holiday season on EBAY are calendars. The most common ones are themed wall calendars with Television, Sports, Movie, Music, Cartoon, Animal, Art, Travel or other similar topics. Of course, the key to this is to find some at bargain prices for the coming year. They need to be new in shrink wrap and of top notch quality. Often you can find these in Dollar Stores, and other bargain or close-out type places. Often Brick & Mortar stores buy up huge quantities of these once the... Continue reading

INTRODUCTION This blog is being written to showcase information that might be of interest to members of the FACEBOOK group: "American Airlines Non-Rev Community". SULLY An interesting auction has popped up on Ebay asking you to bid on Sully's pilot's hat & help fund public education . This is raising quite a bit of money for Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon and Lockwood High School in Oakland as you will see when clicking the link above. But the auction listing does answer the burning question like this: "No, he wasn't wearing this hat on January 15, 2009 -... Continue reading

HIGH PROFILE CHARITY SELLER While glancing at the Ebayana category tonight, I came across someone I was familiar with, but did not realize was currently selling on Ebay. Meg Whitman, who is running for Governor of California, currently has 22 listings on Ebay. You can see her variety of items up for auction here: Meg Whitman Seller on EBAY One of the more interesting items is this White House Christmas Ornament 2006 NIB Collectible which would be a great addition to any tree this holiday season. All of the proceeds from these auctions are for the benefit of the Boys... Continue reading

Decided to go and check out SUPERMEGAFEST for some entertainment and amusement. And, of course if there might be an opportunity to purchase some items for resale on Ebay, that would be a plus. Another reason I went was to take a peek at the Monkees (ok, half of them). After all, they had been promising to come to my town since I was ten years old. It's about time they showed up! Micky was sitting at the table with a price chart for signings & pictures. It was sad however to see that the guys have to do this... Continue reading

I had the good fortune of being able to preview the EBAY BOUTIQUE in Manhattan yesterday. Ebay presented the website's first ever boutique to the press on Thursday. It will be open to the public from November 20 to 27 in New York on 57th street. In order to attract attention to Ebay as a venue for Holiday Shopping, this event was developed as a way to encourage buyers to view in a physical way some of the great items and super deals which can be purchased through Ebay from a variety of categories. Ebay was very smart in devising... Continue reading

EBAYANA If you are not familiar with the category of EBAYANA , it is a unique collectibles category where the buying and selling of Ebay advertising and promotional material occurs. Just as someone might collect items featuring Coca Cola, there are collectors of Ebay items including pins, shirts, pens, and other memorabilia relating to Ebay. From time to time I'll search that area on Ebay to look for a shirt or other oddity that I might enjoy having, and have also purchased undervalued items to resell back on Ebay. Today, I stumbled on a listing that caught my eye for... Continue reading

OFFERS Many times a buyer will attempt to contact an Ebay seller with a request to buy a product(s) at a reduced price. This can happen even without the item listed with the BEST OFFER feature. Sometimes the requests are unreasonable and not even worth a response. But what do you do when the buyer requests a discount and offers a cogent reason with the offer? Is it proper to discount? Is it ok to say no? Here is a recent scenario which may help determine what to do in these situations. New buyer contacted me with an offer to... Continue reading

INTRO So many times I have had ideas or topics that I wanted to write about in a blog form longer than the 140 characters in my Twitter @MisterBigfoot or Facebook Mr.Bigfoot . CHANGES Today it is time to welcome and announce that EBAY RADIO is moving to a new venue: ebroadcast studios and very much want to wish great success to Lee Mirabal and Griff. Also, looking forward to trying out the new 'radio' link to listen to the show starting at 2PM EST. Always a FAST 3 hours on Tuesday and will anticipate some new features as well... Continue reading
