As a Victorian now living in Western Australia I was interested to know how long it would be before I could consider myself as a fully fledged Western Australian. I arrived here in December 2001. After speaking with random Western Australian's over the time I have spent here it would seem that ten years would be about the mandatory time necessary to call yourself a 'West Aussie'.
