Here we go again! I hope you have been inspired by what you've seen thus far during this month's RemARKable Blog Tour. I have been collecting crystal light containers for at least 4 years. In the process of moving my stamp space, I decided that if I couldn't think of a use for them, they were getting tossed. Then one morning, I was still half asleep and was just thinking how I hated to get rid of them and then I got a EUREKA moment: I could decorate them and put treats in them, hand out to the kiddos on... I don't know why but I just thought this set was so cute. It kind of reminds me of some of the designs from the 60s. I did learn that the Delightful Dijon is a little darker than I anticipated when I stamped over the tree branch image. So I decided to "Stamp Off" Better, huh? Here is the envelope and I did the inside piece this way too. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Sunday! I'm glad you could join us! This is one of the bundles I truly love AND it is only available until August 31st! While there isn't hardly any stamping on this project, the thinlet is fabulous and I immediately envisioned a home decor piece. I began with a 7" x 14" stretched canvas from Walmart. Using a palette knife, I spread a thin layer of Golden Crackle Paste on different sections of the canvas. It takes a while for the crackle paste to dry but I discovered that I get finer cracks if I keep the layer thin.... Continue reading

This card has a Very Vanilla card base, strips of selected patterns from the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper pack. Colors are: Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. Card base is Very Vanilla and the first "mat" is from the Playful Palette DSP pack. The stamp set is Sheltering Tree and the 'Happy Birthday" is from Balloon Celebration stamp set. Time for MOVING! Well, sort of. This month's theme is Moving! I decided to create something that moves! I've been collecting bed springs hoping to be inspired and I was!! 1 Bed spring 1 inch circle punch Linen thread 7/8" Cotton Ribbon Typeset DSP Sticky Strip 2 way glue pen I began by punching out a lot of circles. I love this DSP but since it's thin, it's a little hard to punch a single sheet so i put 4 sheets together and just punched around the edges. I punched enough circles to complete 6 strands. I cut about 18"... Continue reading

The PINworthy theme is memories, remembering, etc. I don't know about you, but if I don't do something as soon as I think of it, I won't remember until it's past!! Birthdays are a prime example of needing to remember! The card below uses stamps from "Remembering Your Birthday!" I also used stamps from Mixed Bunch. The colors used are from the 2014 to 2016 In Color collection, Tangelo Twist and Lost Lagoon. This second card also uses stamps from "Remembering Your Birthday!" In addition, I used stamps from the Kinda Eclectic set as well as the two butterfly punches.... Continue reading

Sale-a-Bration is in full swing and coincidentally, that's our theme for this month's RemARKable PINworthy Blog Tour! Imagine that! Here is my project. Stamps Lotus Blossom Dictionary Butterfly Basics Ink Garden Green Crushed Curry Daffodil Delight Basic Gray Paper Whisper White Misc Aqua Painter I began by inking the dictionary stamp with basic gray and randomly blotted some of the ink off using a tissue and stamped the whisper white paper. I used the basic gray again with the Butterfly Basics stamp and randomly stamped all over the page. I used the fern stamp with Garden Green in the lower... Continue reading

Valentine's day is right around the corner so, this month, the Remarkables Pinworthy Blog tour is all about LOVE! I began with a vintage pint sized canning jar, added florist foam and burlap. I attached Cherry Cobbler Hearts and heart pillows cut out of the Typeset Specialty DSP to bamboo skewers. I used the Hearts Collection Framelits to cut out the heart shapes. I also cut Very Vanilla flowers from the Flower Spiral Bigz die and attached them to the bamboo skewers. Using the burlap ribbon, I created some fun fringe flowers. Lastly, I made a rosette from the Rosette... Continue reading

It's the 2nd Thursday of the month so that means it's time for the Remarkable Pinworthy Blog Tour!! this month's theme is Tie One On!! I had seen someone use one of the pennants from the banner kit to hang on a wine bottle. So I thought I'd try my hand at one myself since it gets "tied on" to the bottle. This was a lot of fun and very quick to put together. I began with one of the banners from the kit. It was stamped using the Hardwood stamp in Early Espresso. Cut the star out of gold... For those who want to get a headstart on their holiday crafts, this month's theme will not disappoint!! Rather than creating a card, I decided to do some home decor! I used 2 1/4 yards of our fabulous Burlap Ribbon. I cut the serged edge off one side and started pulling each string to fringe it. Then, starting at the bottom of the 6 inch styrofoam cone, I wrapped the ribbon to the top securing the ribbon with straight pins. Unfortunately, my cone had a flat top but I think it still turned out fine. Then I took scraps of... Continue reading

Welcome to this month's RemARKable PINworthy Blog Tour theme, Scary Fun!!! I don't think my creation is "scary" but it is FUN! Banners are very popular and they are fun to make as well. I began with the BUILD A BANNER SIMPLY CREATED KIT (133507), This kit includes the blank canvas paper pennants, stencils (including the alphabet), jute twine. I used a sponge dauber (133773) and Pumpkin Pie (126945) and Basic Black (126980) ink pads to add the color to the pennants. I tied it all together using 3/4" Chevron Ribbon in Pumpkin Pie (130015) and 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in... Continue reading

This month's Remarkable PINworthy Blog Tour had me a bit perplexed. I don't have any new beginnings. Or do I? The Stampin' Up! year just began in July so that could be a new beginning. That wasn't quite what I was thinking. Then I discovered a "new to me" technique. Gelatin Printing or Monoprinting!! I had made my own gelatin plat using Knox gelatin. Once it was set up, I mixed white acrylic paint with Ink refills, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, and Pear Pizazz. I put dots of each color on my gelatine plate and then brayered them all together.... Continue reading

Welcome to my blog! It is time once again for the RemARKable PINworthy Blog Tour! July is in full swing and so are summer activities. The base is a full sheet of Tangelo Twist, first layer, Hello Honey and the top layer is Whisper White. The ink I used is Basic Grey, Hellow Honey, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss. I used three of the new In Colors: Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, & Blackberry Bliss! Don't they sound delicious???? I also finally opend up the Regarding Dahlias stamp set. I really like it and I don't know why it took me so long to use it. I hope you like the simplicity of this card, It can easily be done by anyone!! It's the second thursday of the month so that means it's time for the RemARKable Pinworthy Blog tour!! I decided to do someting different than cards this time. A friend of mine gave me some cabinet drawer fronts that didn't make the cut to be used in cabinetry. I actually started this project som time ago and planned on making it a key holder but I couldn't find the BIG BOX of cup hooks I bought for something else. So it sat in my craft space. I eventually purchased a small pack of cup hooks so I could finish the... Continue reading
