Robin, as I'm preparing to leave the place where my marriage was nurtured and my babies were born, you remind me to savor this last week with these friends and places. Loved your list!

That is so adorable! :) And, I totally get this. It's so difficult when we feel misunderstood, especially by those who are close to us. Love your words! :)

I agree with Kelly! It's so hard sometimes to believe that life goes beyond nursing, potty training and temper tantrums (well, maybe that last one sticks around forever). This post made me want to lay down with my little girl and stroke her hair while my hand still covers her entire back. :)

So much truth here, Melissa! We are none of us perfect parents, it's all about clinging to the grace of God!

Not only are the words lovely, but the way you've formatted it is so inspiring and fun! This is great, Robin! And I'm right there with you...I love the ladies I've met through 5-minute friday and it's something I really look forward to each week. :) Have a fantastic weekend!

I love how you look at your birthday as a special day for your mom as well. :) What a wonderful picture. And that you could turn to her in your time of need and she would bless you with such wise counsel...I love this Melissa! :)

Although God has told us to go...we're still in a season of waiting. We don't know where or what we're going to. It does suck. But...like you said, our good is waiting. I know He's got big things ahead of us and we're just biting our nails to discover what it is. haha! :)

Melissa, this was so awesome! You should submit it to Ungrind.org -- endurance is one of the upcoming themes. :) I know that I am no where near ready to make a bike ride like that one, and there are times where I feel the same in my walk. We've got a pretty tough trek coming up in the next few months, and I can feel my legs begging to give out...but I'm going to keep on walking one step at a time! :)

Melissa, thank you so much for opening up your site to me today, and your words are beyond kind and encouraging! :) Your place here is lovely, and the time and effort you put into these studies are so evident. You have a gift for sharing beauty and art with others, friend!

How did you know I was controlling? :) Your connecting control to fear is so right on. I hadn't thought of it in that light before. Thanks, Tony.

Yes! Once we come to understand who God is and how God is, I feel that we will never be afraid to fully place ourselves in His hands. Thank you for adding that, Dustin! :)

Coming to the close on my first ever fast, I would have to agree with you, Moe. Fasting has proven itself to be way more about me than about getting God to give me what I want. I love this statement: "Only when we know who we really are, can we come closer to understanding who He is."

God is cutting away the dead left and right in my life, as well as the things that will lead to death. It has been painful, but what you said today reminds me that not only is the pruning important to remove the deadly, but the purpose is to produce more fruit! Now I'm excited to see what the fruit from this period of pruning will look like! :)

Oh how I tend to grumble, complain and forget what God has done! It's one of my giftings. {wink, wink} This is a powerful reminder of how God works in our lives. Thank you for reminding me to cheerfully submit to what God is doing in me.

I once heard a pastor say that his only regret was not teaching more about the love of God. It's the one thing we can not over emphasize or understand enough. It is bigger than we imagine, stronger than we think and FREELY ours. I have spent plenty of years trying to earn it, thinking I'd ended up outside of it and betting that I'd broken it. Thank you for sharing your love journey here! It was so encouraging. :)

Right now I feel like I'm in a spring-like season in my life. It's been a hard winter, I've sensed things happening underground where no eye can see, but now sprouts are beginning to pop up here and there. What once looked like a dry, barren field has taken on a green shimmer. There's life here and God is doing a new thing. :) Loved the video, Melissa. I'm very excited for this study!

This month marks my 10-year wedding anniversary! I'm so excited. :) Other than being married for 10 years, I am a SAHM to my four small children and a blogger. I love to cook, read, and take pictures. Right now my family is approaching a period of transition, and I'm actively seeking out God for what He is calling me to. I am so excited for this study, because Melissa always does a wonderful job, and I know God will speak to me through her and others in this community! :)

So sweet! If only we all could be as forgiving and vulnerable with each other. :) Thanks for sharing this. And, looking forward to Friday night!

You have been a huge encouragement to me this week. :) The interactions we've had make me even more excited to get together. Also, the things you shared in your series on anger have been with me. The encouragement of knowing I'm not alone and I can change have already made a differencr in me. Have a great day today. :)

Great idea! We're only a week into Kindergarten and already I feel overwhelmed by the mounds of paperwork my son brings home. And of course he wants to save them all! I might have to go pick me up one of those! :) Thanks.
