Today was just a perfect summer day. One of my dearest friends from my steady paying job and I went blueberry picking today. We had such a great time. I just really enjoyed going out to rural-ish Jersey to go do some fun stuff outside. I actually got some color today. I also picked a bushel (I am not actually sure what measure a bushel really is.) of berries today. I just love them. They are amazing little poppers. This weekend was my Mom's birthday. We had the usual festivities and it was really great. Birthdays are always fun. Then on Saturday my Mom and I try and decide what to do on a nice spring day. Wow, it feels like so much time has passed. This past week have really been crazy. As I said before Lyceum was amazing! I finally just got back to my house in the city after a long weekend up in Brooklyn for the Lyceum's Spring show. It was a lot of fun to be able to meet a whole bunch of new people. Flowers are blooming, the air is warm. Spring is officially here. I couldn't be happier.I love this time of year. The anticipation of summer is always so great. I am so happy to announce that my new line is officially a go! I am so excited, though I have so much work to do. Today was the first day that I got a chance to get in the studio and lay the groundwork for my collections.. As of now the first piece is an 18mmx13mm moonstone ring. I do have to say the best part about this year is that I can truly create new products without the added worry of doing craft shows. Right now, I have been playing with wire wrapped briolettes. I think they are so pretty and really add a great handmade one-of-a-kind feel to the pieces. They are all listed on Etsy right now.
