Awesome day..... thanks for bring obedient and showing your heart for people. Your heart's desire for souls being saved was evident through that message. God has and WILL continue to use Vertical and His people with that kind of realness and openess. Love you... Bree

Know what makes it even better? It's not hard to serve next to pastors who have a fire filled passion for Jesus and people. AND that you all also love people where they are. We are all proud of our pastors and will continue to gladly serve along side of you. Thanks for YOUR leadership and following this "V"ision Jesus has given you. I can't WAIT to see what the future holds! Love you....

Funny you posted this. I have still been reeling over these past 3 weekends and cannot WAIT to see what God has in store for Vertical still... I read this last night and thought of the 4 of you who initialized this whole vision. This one simple verse just summed Vertical up to a tee for me! Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. What if you HAD defferred? What if you all had not been obedient? What if we all had? WE'D BE HEARTBROKEN; sick...But instead; this now reality is building and growing LIFE; eternal life that may have never been raised from the dead in those who thought they had no hope. If we stay rooted in Him and Him alone, I believe HE will give us the opportunity to help grow a grand ol' oak! Wow...a tree of LIFE! How glorious He truly is!

I am thankful you and the lead team followed the leading of the Holy Spirit to make Vertical happen.Had it not been for your obedience in that, your vision that was cast could not have created the ministry opportunities for all of us. Jesus has given you the ability to set a pattern unlike any other around us for us to form one the greatest tools to win souls for Him. I think this is and will continue to be one of the most challenging yet amazing thing that will ever happen in my Christian walk. For that I am so very thankful for. I am thankful for a God who is unchanging but allows us to be unique in the way we give and show people His message. I cannot WAIT to do this with all of you on a week to week basis. This journey is gonna ROCK and I thank you JESUS! Love you Mike P.!

This is on the money!!! I know I love a new coat of paint on the building to see it 'freshened' up. Why can't we love on people that way; someone who may look a little different than the average Joe. (No offense to any of the Joe's out there. ;) ) What IS normal anyway? I have heard someone VERY influential in my life spiritually say to me, "I would hate to know I had to meet my Jesus in Heaven one day with all those tattoos all over my body like he has." Well, you know what? I think Jesus looks beyond that? No, I KNOW HE DOES. I think he looks at the heart and nothing else. Not the hair, not the jeans, not the tattoos! How dare we say that our rank with the Lord is based upon our attire. :::sigh::: I don't and will never even understand that mentality. I rejoice we are all different in some way. God likes variation too. Look outside for goodness sake!!! This is probably one of my favorite blog posts by you Mike P.! (high 5!)

Again, I really do hate I missed Sunday morning. (Mike P. and I have a running joke that I always "skip" church when he preaches for those of you are reading.) Just seems to happen that way for some reason. Mike, I want to tell you that you have taught me so much musically. When we left our last church there was one thing I wanted to experience, WORSHIP! To experience freedom in worship was definitely what I saw the very FIRST day at HP. You have taught me musically, spiritually and just have been a very dear friend that I am going hate to see leave. Yet, at the same time, I pray many, many blessings over your new endeavors for the LORD. Brother and sister in Christ we will always be. You will always be our rock star....;0) Love ya Mike P!

Amen Mike P., amen! That is something I am having to learn right now too in our family life. --WAIT-- God says. Not so much with a particular ministry right now but I feel it can help possibly help me one day in how I serve. It is hard!!! Did I say it loud enough? HARD I say! It hurts, but He comforts. It stings, but He gives the medicine to heal. It's scary, but He is there with outstretched arms. I so see your heart in this and will pray for God's continued leading in your minstry. We love you and are laying prayers over you and your family. Thanks for your leadership and friendship. (Yay for your back-at-it bloggin!) lol bree
