I have really loved being able to feature some amazing and talented artists here on my blog and so I am super excited to introduce you to Renee Sendelbach! She is a woman of faith, courage and amazing strength. Here is her story... It is so exciting to be able to take part in the blog feature series. A little bit about me: I am a stage IV breast cancer “thriver,” wife, mommy, artist, friend and so much more. I try my hardest to listen to the small whispers of my heart on a daily basis and more importantly –... Continue reading

Please forgive my absense from my blog! So far the summer has been a bit hectic and to be honest, I have sort of put my writing on the back burner. BUT, I said I would give you a little glimpse into my Launch Party. I have been talking about this new collection... Dream a little dream...for months and have spent many, many hours creating and preparing the items. I wanted to host a little party in my home for friends and family to see what I had been working on {I LOVE to plan parties:}}. I would say around... Continue reading

The day is finally here!!! After months of creating and preparation, tonight I will have the launch party for my newest collection of jewelry and accessories! Oh, I am so excited! I will surely share photos of the night and then on Sunday, you will be able to view and purchase the newest items in my etsy shop. I wanted to take a little hiatus from my own endeavors to spotlight another very gifted artist. I am seriously in awe of her talent to sketch! Linda Pinda is a mixed-media/abstract artist who lives in the heart of southern New England.... Continue reading

This week I have been BUSY! Though I am a bit exhausted, my heart is full of gratitude because things generally don't run so smoothly. My 2 older children were away at summer camp for the week and for 3 of those days, my younger 2 were at a day camp. I had 3 FULL DAYS to get work done. About 5% of that time was spent on home related tasks and the other 95% I spent creating and preparing for my launch party next week! I still have a bit to do but am sooooo thankful for all that... Over the past few weeks I have shared with you some amazing women and their passion for creating. Some of the greatest benefits of having a community of beautifully creative women is that, not only are you like minded, but you can honestly share with one another what has and hasn't worked for you. You can bounce ideas off of of each other AND, such is the case recently, literally share your work with one another! A group of us taking the online class Building a Creatively Made Business decided to do a little swap {after all, who doesn't like... Continue reading

There are so may souls out there that are following their dreams with reckless abandon. Sometimes this road is bumpy and often unclear, but we take it anyway because we know that it is what makes our heart beat and what we were created to do! I may be a jewelry designer myself, but I certainly won't let that keep me from singing the praises of a fellow jewelry designer! I want to share with you a bit about Tippy Stockton. I love her story and her creations are GORGEOUS! "Tippy Stockton Jewelry came to be in August of 2009.... Continue reading

“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.” Mother Teresa This is probably one of my absolute favorite quotes of all time. It is such a place of peace to discover that you are specifically and intentionally gifted. My gifts are a little different than your gifts, but they are gifts all the same. Our gifts were meant to work together in harmony... to compliment one another. I love that I am able to be a part of an amazingly creative on-line community. To build genuine relationships that encourage and... Continue reading

For years I have anticipated this season... not necessarily with excitement, but more with a curiosity... I love and am so thankful that I have been able to stay home to raise our children. My path looked SO different 12+ years ago! We are reaching a milestone here in our family... In the fall, all 4 of our children will officially be in school... ALL DAY! {Stay with me, this may be a little lengthy;)} When I was younger, I always dreamed of designing. One day it was fashion design, the next, interior design, then back to fashion {you get... This has got to be my favorite Pinterst recipe thus far! I am always looking for ways to satisfy both my sweet tooth and love for things that nourish my body. As I've gotten older, I've been more in touch with what fuels my body and what shuts it down. I LOVE sweets, but always regret eating certain things because I physically feel so horrible. I'm slowly transitioning into a place where feeling healthy and energetic is much more enjoyable than a few indulgent moments of sweet treats. Don't misunderstand, I find so much joy in baking that I will... Continue reading

Every once in a while I hear that gentle reminder, it's a word that resonates in my mind from time to time... I have gotten off track and I need to find my way back. As I was lying in bed last night, the thoughts were loud. The message was clear. AUTHENTIC The dictionary definition is this: not false or copied: genuine and original, as opposed to being a fake or reproduction In my heart and mind, I always want to strive to live an authentic life. I love this life. But sometimes I think my actions speak otherwise. Sometimes... Continue reading

I am slowly falling further and further behind in documenting my journey with Pinterest Inspired projects. Primarily because I am so excited about actually DOING the projects, that I haven't taken the time to sit down and tell you all about it;) I have to say... I have never been more creatively productive in my life! Please... I am begging you...if you have not checked Pinterest out yet... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!! I am LOVING every moment of this self-inflicted challenge! I was SO thrilled with these St. Patrick's Day projects that I found! Every year it's the same... Continue reading

This worked our just perfect! I had my sewing machine out {many thanks to my sweet friend, Sarah for dropping hers off within moments of me requesting it, because mine was broken;)} AND I had my stuffing out from making my DIY Wedding Date Pillow , so I thought, "I might as well utilize that mojo and get some more projects done!" I mean, contrary to what the men may say, you really CAN'T have too many pillows! I will admit, I have had these supplies for about 9 months... but who's really keeping track;) So, do you want to... I just love beautiful pillows! They are one of those home accessories that instantly change the look of your decor AND they are so easy and inexpensive to make! The added bonus for me... Max LOVES to stuff pillows. Which works out wonderfully, because I don't;) He thinks it's his job and he looks forward to the little bit of change I give him for his hard work. When I saw this pin, I was in love and I really wanted to get this pillow done in time for our anniversary {2 days ago}, but my plan did not work... Continue reading

I believe that every thing happens for a reason. I believe that God DOES NOT make mistakes. I believe the old adage "what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!" I believe that marriage is meant to be forever! Today my Hubby and I are celebrating our 13 YEAR anniversary! I LOVE THIS MAN! Do you ever just think of how blessed you are that someone loves you for YOU! Not that we're unlovable, but let's be honest, we all have our little quirks... and while we're at it, we can be a bit moody, girls... Is it just me? I... Continue reading

I am a sucker for anything Monogrammed! Heck, I am a sucker for anything that is personalized. So when I saw this pin on Pinterest, I HAD to recreate it. I was extra motivated to move right into this project after using the vinyl for the "every love story..." board. I had left overs so I wanted to use it right away while it was out. AND, I thought it would be super cutie patootie to have matching monogrammed mugs for our anniversary;) The bonus... It literally took me about 5 minutes!! Who doesn't love THAT kind of project! So... Continue reading

It is February and I have LOVE on the brain! There is Valentine's Day, yes, but it is also our Anniversary month {more to come on Monday;)} I feel especially justified leaving Vday decor up all month long because it kind of serves double duty! When I saw this pin, I was in love! I adore cheesy, mushy sayings {just ask my sister} and this one was right up my alley. "Every Love Story is Beautiful, but Ours is my Favorite" I found the perfect board for this project at the Goodwill. It was originally a very retro piece of... Continue reading

This is the final Friday of the "Finding the Lovely" series with Jeanne and Kimberly. I have so loved this little challenge to capture life's lovely little moments. I am inspired to be more intentional about embracing those sweet occasions that embody my life's journey. Here is a little glimpse into my week's "lovelies" Beautiful, Beautiful snow covered apple tree outside of my home Busy little hands Enjoying "The Vow" with dear girl friends A sweet boy napping {for the first time in 3 years} Some of my fave "eye candy" at Barnes and Noble Brewing a delicious cup of... Spring is coming y'all... you know what that means... Spring Cleaning!! So, right now I am in organization mode. Specifically organizing my studio/ office. The Good News... {the "office" side} aaaaannnnnnd, The Bad News... {the "studio" side} Honestly, I am slowly learning that tackling one small area at a time is most effective because it can be extremely overwhelming when you have an area that looks like this... with several different projects on the table at one time. Heck, there are probably projects from the fall buried underneath this mess;) I know I have talked about my love for ribbon... Continue reading

I was so thrilled when I saw this pin on Pinterest! About a year ago I had gotten a pretty pathetic looking candle abra at an auction... you know, one of those items that was thrown in with the items that you actually wanted;) Ok, so it wasn't all together hideous, it had lovely bones and I knew that it could be given a new, more glamorous life... I just needed a vision. Before finding this pin, I had actually already painted it white and used it to display jewelry at a show last spring. It worked just fine, but... Continue reading

I am so grateful for any little thing that forces me to be more organized...Especially where dinner is concerned! I don't know your situation, but I will assume you're in a similar boat as me. DINNER TIME IS HECTIC WITH LITTLE ONES! Add after school activities, etc, and sometimes it seems impossible to get a good dinner on the table! Let's take a little time to organize our week, maybe do a little prep work, and things will run SO much more smoothly! This week, I have created a very simple dry erase menu board inspired by this pin. First, I... Continue reading

I knew last week that I would write today about nurturing creative souls. Yesterday I got to spend the day with 3 of my sweetest and closest girlfriends eating, catching up and ending our time watching "The Vow". Always a time of refreshment for my soul;) After seeing this movie, I was even more inspired to encourage others to follow that creative passion {if you have seen/ see the movie, you'll get why;)} It is sooooo easy to find excuses of why NOT to do something that nourishes your soul, but there are so many more reasons why you should!... If you are mindful and intentional about seeking it out, there is something lovely around every corner! the everyday, mundane routines that make up our lives... They are lovely, because they belong to us! In the {rare} quietness of your beautiful kiddos playing together... That is DEFINITELY lovely! This is my second week {though, they are on week 3} of joining in on the series "Finding the Lovely" with Jeanne and Kimberly, and can I just say that I have so enjoyed capturing life's little moments with my iPhone! Here is a little glimpse into my week... {all photos from... Continue reading
