Hi Pat - thanks for reading my poor neglected blog! I didnt make the quilt, I just quilted it. But I am friends with the person who did make it, so I will find out. It is a really pretty quilt, especially with the batiks she used. Ill get back to you on it.

Quilt Show Ribbons!
My local quilt guild - Quilter's Anonymous (not a recovery group, for sure!) had it's annual show last month. It's a non-juried show, anyone who is a member of the guild and puts in at least 4 hours of volunteer time each year can enter their quilts. We had over 500 quilts this year, and the r...
I didn't know about Pain & Panic, I will have to look them up! I thought maybe they were her good & bad consciences, but I guess not! Makes me really want to study some history.

love you
Butter.
If you have been to France, you know what I'm talking about. The butter is amazing. On our first full day, we had big plans for sightseeing, but first stop was le petit dejuener. (Breakfast.) We stopped at a cute little cafe and ordered coffee & croissants. Here's what we got: Lovely. The...

Hi Margo, thanks so much for your comment. Just when I think I am not going to blog any more, I get a nice comment like yours, and then I see that people are looking at my stuff. :) I have a lot more quilts to post pictures of, I do one or two customer quilts a week. Do you live in the Northwest? Just wondering if you know Sara. She is republishing some of her books thru C T publishing with Marci, always staying busy with the 60 degree triangle. Love my A-1 machine.
Happy Quilting,
Pam
Not your grandmother's flower garden.....
My friend Sara Nephew loves 60 degree triangles, and is always creating new quilt patterns for her friends to test. This pattern looked so interesting, I volunteered to try it. Here's the finished quilt: All Sara's patterns are made using a 60 degree triangle ruler. Here's a close up: ...

Nothing like a big scary spider to get your blood pumping and motivation flowing. I hate to think about what might be under my bed! Last summer we had both our upstairs bathrooms remodeled, and I did some of the work myself to save money. When the contractor left, the last thing to do was paint the new trim and door and guess what... still not done. will probably take about a day to get it all done. I think I'll get out the paint & brush tonight, mark a day on the calendar and just do it! Thanks for the motivation.
Five Secrets to Accomplishing a Big Goal
Last week, Tom and I were settling into bed - he, with a scholarly book, and me, with Facebook on my phone. (No comments, please, about which of us is the brains of this operation.) As Tom flipped the covers back, I yelped, "There's a SPIDER!" On the bed. A brown recluse spider. On. The bed, y...

thanks Jane! the quilt is 62 x 82, and each piece is made from a 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 rectangle that is cut into two pieces on a 60 degree angle. I really like using Glide thread. it is polyester, but has that nice sheen. my machine loves it too. :)

Hexagon Love, and summer update
I have been super busy this summer. The weather has been FABULOUS - the best summer I can remember in a long time. Even though I started tomatoes by seed and got a pretty late start, we got quite a few ripe tomatoes and lots of lovely flowers. Now the rain seems to be starting in earnest, and...
