What about age rather than sex? Is there a pattern there? Do beings under fifty show at book signings? Sidebar: My only signed 1st edition is Nixon's Six Crises inscribed to Mr. Agnew.

@robin "14 inches tall I would say - not that big." I always said Jamie was a HECK of a man!

The Roman numerals are extremely sophisticated. Veined "marble" would of looked better though.

It's good to see a non-Vegas-married couple beat the odds.

@Robin: Claudette Colbert was the greatest Cleopatra (1934). Cleopatra: I should have known that Anthony is not Anthony for nothing. Anthony: Well, uh, shall we go now? Cleopatra: (submissively) Yes, we'll go. My wits have failed and I'm in your hands.

cf. http://jakonrath.blogspot.com/2010/03/am-i-good-enough-to-epublish.html In comments Konrath sez: Here's the thing, though. Once the Amazon agency model kicks in, selling 11,000 ebooks a year will earn an author $21k annually. I believe if I release an original Kindle ebook novel, I'd make that much or more, and that I'd continue to earn that much or more for many years to come. That means in 5 years, I can make over $100,000 on an ebook novel. Why would I want to share that with some publisher?

You need a strict "NO CAKE" policy for the dowloaders and/or library bookers. Sent from GregZilla's iPhone 3Gs

I think the independent bookseller was in the acceptance stage of the Kübler-Ross hierarchy as he seemed to answer, resignedly, the question. (On the other hand, Robin is in the late stages of denial moving into anger but she was there for me in the film-to-digital photography transition so I'm here to support her.) I think it should be emphasized you can't read a kindle in the bath tub. Sent from GregZilla's iPhone 3Gs

I was at the Minneapolis airport when I overheard a smart-phone caller to an independent bookstore: "Do you have Elisabeth Kübler-Ross's 'On Death and Dying' in a download?"

It will be nice to see the textbook publishers get it. Not that I ever read one but I bought a few. Sent from GregZilla's iPhone 3Gs
