Well yes, I am back in the states, but it sure was a battle! When I got to the airport to check in, they asked me if I'd be willing to give up my seat since the flight was overbooked. BTW...how the hell do you sell more tickets than seat... Continue reading

No, it's not the food. No, it's not the fresh air. No, it's not the beautiful women. It's the people and kids. Being able to have this opportunity to give something back to the youth of my mom's home country gave me the greatest sense of pride, joy, and love... Continue reading

It's true. Foreigners from all over the world love Americans. The Chinese love Americans. They love talking to you, taking pictures with you, and learning everything they can about the US. They love trying to relate to you through Lady Gaga, Kobe Bryant, 50 Cent, the Yankees, and Usher. They... Continue reading

Chicago is great because at 4 in the morning you can always grab a burrito, find a diner open, or even goto a grocery store thats 24 hours to grab some snacks. Our first night in China, Adam and I woke up in the middle of the night from jet... Continue reading

Usually I know it's 3:30 am when I hear "Last Call", when I am stuffing my face with cheese fries, or when I am passed out in bed. Not the case here. There is no last call. The only reason people have to leave the bar/club is to go to... Continue reading

I'm not really sure what the province is called, but we all call it Ooooh Jong. What we know about Oooh Jong... 1. It's far away. 2. It takes an hour and a half subway ride (if you don't know what the subway is like, check the posts). 3. It... Continue reading

In most of the pictures and videos, you will see a couple re-occurring faces. 1. This is Adam. He is another coach from Philly. We have had the pleasure of living together, and encountering all of this insanity together. See Adam has two sides...days where he goes to Oooh Jong... Continue reading

I don't really understand the advertising here. It baffles my mind.... This charming fellow seems to be endorsing Vitamin Water. This is good ole Mr. Lee. Looks like he is challenging Colonel Sanders over at KFC. Looks like there may be a battle in China...who can serve the darkest meat... Continue reading

There are so many things here that remind me of home, but in reality, they aren't even close. Example.... Mountain Dew tastes like Tea. Corn Flakes will run you about 12$ US. Gatorade tastes like Tea. Tomato Flavor Lays Chips is right next to the Shrimp Flavored Lays Chips which... Continue reading

Apparently in China, you can goto a University and Major in Basketball, or another specific sport. Not only do you play, but you study the sport as well (history, rules, origins) until you earn a degree. Kinda cool. And here I thought all Asians were either Doctors, Lawyers, or Engineers....
