Honestly, I did not notice that until I put it int he hoop!
Gather
It was a long hot summer for sure. I love summer, but even I am looking to quilting with comfort. Next in the hoop is 'Gather', a word that has appeared so many times this year. It felt right to do something with it. Enjoy these days. Pam
Thank you!

Thank you Kerry! I so wanted to join your handquilting group but was afraid I couldn’t keep up. Maybe another time?
To All The Shirts We Loved Before
With apologies to Willie Nelson, "To All The Shirts We've Loved Before" is from shirts we've worn for a number of years, some 20 years old. It is an improv piece, not a process I typically do, but sometimes when the mood strikes, you have to go with it. ...

Thank you Jeannie.
The Early Bird
I have always been an early riser. Hand-quilting at sunrise, especially in the hot summer months, was a beautiful (and sensible) way to start the day, and I'd piece at night. I'm doing the opposite now. I've committed to getting up very early, putting the kettle on and going to my machine. I...
Thank you Kerry. In the winter months, I get up no later than 6:15, so I applaud your 4:30! I will say that as the days get longer, I set my alarm for about 5 minutes before sunrise. I don't want to miss a moment of those beautiful days!

You've written some great posts about balance - I am always so interested in what you have to say! Maybe the balance for me is more making and less writing - at least for now!
Less Writing, More Reading. Less Planning, More Making.
It's been kind of quiet here at jump cut arts, at least as far as writing goes. I have been doing a lot of reading and making. My day job has kept the left side of my brain occupied, but my right side has been just as busy. I am hand sewing every night - so rewarding, comforting and produ...
The color couldn't come at a better time!
