A Listed Life: To Muse & Amuse
From the red rocks of Utah, and the ocean of the wild west
Two writers curious about life, and exploring our world with questions and lists
Interests: We enjoy writing, reading, learning, and conversing with friends. We love challenging and being challenged. We pass time observing, participating, and trying to figure things out. We take breaks. To listen to music, cook, garden, walk, travel, decorate and day dream. One finds peace in the mountains, the other at the water's edge. We place a high value on laughter, paramount being the all out belly laugh.

Those who dare to pay attention and name what they are noticing seem to be quickly marginalized. Maybe that's why Augustus, a... Continue reading

"I Never Get Sick Unless I Need To"
Lying in bed in a germ-i-fied state, I'm stunned. I rarely get sick. I've never had a flu shot and I don't use hand gel. I wash my hands with soap, keep them off my face and drink plenty of water. Done. Good to go. How did this happen? Then I remember something an old friend would say. Me: I...

Untie the Ribbons
"Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons." - Ruth Ann Schabacker Having kept a gratitude journal for years now, this isn't exactly a novel idea for me. I usually can create a list of 10 "gifts" to be grateful for every day. Except when I don't feel... Continue reading

Oh that we become courageous enough to ask for this space without the sniffles and fever to accompany!

Rejecting Regret
"Our biggest regrets are not for the things we have done, but for the things we haven't done." - Chad Michael Murray I almost didn't go. Mired in a funk fueled by disappointments, sad news, bad news and technological meltdowns, an up-to-my-armpits funk, all I really wanted to do was... Continue reading
