A One-Line Bio! How can I possibly sum up my bio in one line??
Interests: family, life, travel, home education, learning, reading, regular boring food, exotic interesting food, the great outdoors, spirituality, experiencing other cultures, music, religious diversity, the world, the galaxy, the universe, everything. {Except romance novels & gross horror films. The former I find boring and the latter creep me out).

So jealous of your snow! Every night on the news I see all the 'cold weather warnings' for the east, while here in Utah we're snowless, sigh. (Well, aside from in the high Unitas I suppose.)
I've just begun to get my sadly neglected (for years!) typepad blog into some order. So glad to see another post from you!

Hello, February!
Hello, my friends and Happy Monday! I'm here - at last! - on this bright and frigid last day of January to share my February planning sheets with you all. I had hoped to post these much earlier today (much earlier PERIOD!), but my 12-week old puppy had a thing or two to say about that ... ;-) ...

Ah I've been absent from your blog too long - relying only on our fb friendship to keep caught up on all your doings! 2016 has been such a hard year for my family, I fear I've allowed myself to be distracted by difficulties and unwanted "to do's". I need to nurture more, focus on all those little, so important, homey things. I love your new desk area, and the little table for meetings with clients most especially!
Happy Autumn!
A Tour of My New(ish) Desk!
Hello my friends, and Happy Friday! Today I'd like to give you all a little tour of my new desk. :) Well, I call it "new" because I've only been using it for a couple of months, but the desk itself is not new. Actually, it's been here since the house was built back in 1985! (We've been here si...

Yes - Irish Wolfhounds are beautiful. I'm still hoping!
Witt's End: AKA Canine Manor
I wonder...is it the beginning of a trend? If so - I just dunno how Scott's gonna handle it. He may just run off to Jamaica or some such. Abandoning the rest of us to a life overflowing with sundry broken items no one but him has the slightest idea how to repair. Who'll back up the motor home?...

Hi Dawn. Lovely books all. I've been trying and trying to finish a post answering your Christmas tree questions but life keeps getting in the way. Today I hope to manage it! I'm also looking forward to participating in your Teas - a subject dear to my heart.
Have a wonderful day!

A Christmas Books Giveaway!
Happy Wednesday, my friends! It's a good day for a giveaway! As I was going through our Christmas book collection I set aside some duplicates to pass on to someone else: Merry Christmas, Strega Nona! Dear Rebecca, Winter is Here ... Christmas in Noisy Village And I'd like to offer them to one ...
Sounds lovely and very hygge-ish to me.
Thanks for reading and commenting!
Hygge For Me
The weekend is upon us - though of course my days don't slow down with the weekend - do yours? Saturday and Sundays around Witt's End are just as busy and filled, if not more so, than the rest of the week. Which makes the importance of focusing on the joy of Hyggee; (our family's 2016 word!) e...
Decorating walking trails is a great idea. If the person doesn't begin this year, maybe you should do it! :)
Yes - I felt so bad for the weed to, but perhaps it's having it's moment of glory now.
Of Lovely Sights & Books
I've been attempting to Slow Down. Though I worry it isn't quite "taking" - if you know what I mean. Yet still I keep at it. Trying to still my mind, to notice the world about me a bit more, and to take joy in it. This is surprisingly difficult to do, particularly when My List and My Daytimer ...

I love love your advent! The apples, evergreen boughs, and candle are lovely. Naturally now I'm wanting to do the same myself - though yes the squirrels would certainly grab up the apples and perhaps my dogs would as well!
Teatime and advent are both very important around our home as well, I'd love to send you some of our goings on as soon as I make the time (notice I don't say "find" - I never find it, have to make it ).
Your mug is so pretty - and I'll bet the cookies were delicious.
My Christmas has been up for sometime, and yesterday I took down the last of Thanksgiving decorations, putting more Christmas in their place. (Thanksgiving decorations are kept to the dining room :) And the first of our advent candles was lit last night.
I can't (as usual) believe the season is already upon us, and hope to make it as calm and long lasting as possible.
Blessings,
Lisa
My Advent Tea Journal ~ Gifts from the Heart
Happy Monday, my friends! Blessings to all in this brand new season! And oh, do I LOVE Advent. It's such a lovely time of anticipation and preparation, a stilling of the world in some ways (yet a rushing in others), as we journey towards the most beautiful night of the year. Today I am sitting...
Thanks Laurel, I hope to share much more "hygge-ness" throughout the rest of this year and 2016!
Hygge At Witt's End
For years I've been a devoted follower of hygge without knowing it. Though now I do. Indeed - there are whole groups of people, an entire country even (Denmark, "hygge" is a Danish word) who promote and embrace the idea of hygge: originating from a Norwegian word meaning "coziness". Though hyg...

Hi Dawn,
Well...I left a comment earlier but something happened to it! Ah well. I believe I spotted "I am a Bunny" among those favorite board books, it was always a favorite of my littles too. I have several "cozy corners" set up around the house, I'd love to share some pics of them with you. Autumn & Winter are my two favorite seasons (and the more snow the better!
Living in Season: Creating A Cozy Corner
Happy Wednesday, my friends! I hope your week's going well! So I talk a lot here about embracing the seasons and the changes they bring to our lives - the way we dress, eat, feel, pray, etc. I love how with each passing season there is a feeling of something new and yet a comforting familiari...
