Hi there everybody! Since you’re reading this, you’ve managed to find yourself at the Dwelling Place. I’m Dweller, really I’m Rebeckah, but I write as Dweller so that my family can remain “relatively” anonymous on the interweb! By day I work in advertising, but am also wife to the illustrious Mr. Dwell and soon-to-be mom to Baby Dwell. (Not to mention Pet Parent to two girls of the furry variety who will make their appearance in this space from time to time.) I am a little bit of a wing nut (who am I kidding – I’m a lot a bit of a wing nut) who has a passion for writing, decorating, cooking, entertaining and gardening. I started this blog in January as a space to share ideas and give myself a creative outlet. Three years ago Mr. Dwell and I bought our current house, a 1968 New England Colonial and have devoted every spare moment and dime to making it our home, giving it a soul! I was raised by 2 hard-core do-it-yourselfers. My Mom& Dad were doing this way before HGTV! So it’s in my blood. Mr. Dwell was not raised this way but after spending time with this family has come to the way of the DIY! I hope you find this a fun, interactive space to share your thoughts, and maybe – just maybe – glean a bit of inspiration to use in your own home!
Interests: Home improvement, cooking, baking, gardening, art & Football!

Have you ever changed up your whole house based on something small? I seem to be moving in that direction over these past couple of days. It all started because the lampshade I was swooning over at Target (and who's with me on loving everything in the Threshold collection) was... Continue reading

Another long, unexplained absence, just who do I think I am?? A jerk. Eh, I could sit here and make a bunch of excuses - the waning daylight, my job, bad hair days, but you want to hear them just about as much as I want to give them. So... Continue reading

If you've never had bibimbap, you are seriously missing out! It's a Korean rice, vegi and beef dish that I'm told translates to "Crazy Mixed Up Rice". It's pretty simple and very yummy! All you need to do is: Slice up your veggies in a match stick style and give... Continue reading
