I just saw this movie on opening night last Friday which I don't normally do, but it was so worth it! It was the best movie I've seen in a long time and for sure the best Marvel movie I've ever seen. Thank you so much for this piece Soheli. I find that there is major misrepresentation with all "minority" races in Hollywood and the media. If different cultures are represented, they are done so with appropriation...or there is typecasting. There are so many black and other culture/race films out there, but this is poorly reflected in Hollywood's Award Ceremonies, especially the Oscars. Dear White People is a great movie by the way :)
