The girls love to cook and bake too - they just don't always want to eat it any more. I think they like the consistency!
I saw these adorable wooden blocks in the Target dollar section (except they were $2.50). Remember these from your childhood? Ours came in a wagon that you could pull with a string. They seemed indestructible at the time. Were they made by Fisher Price? Or was it Playskool? Anyone know?... Continue reading

Are your kids like this? They like the eat the same things over and over? Seriously? Our kids could eat peanut butter sandwiches EVERY day. While I love peanut butter too, I do not want them eating it every day. Or cheese. Or waffles. Or pasta. What is up with... Continue reading

It's been way too long since I've blogged. As a matter of fact, it's been 5 months. How did that happen?! I took a step back from blogging and a step towards actually BEING with my kids. I am with them all the time, but I don't think I was... Continue reading

Christine, the girls go to a Presbyterian Preschool and I love the way they do their Sunday School and childcare during the service. Kate and Caroline would actually benefit from some kind of program - they have so many questions. I think in a few more years they'll be able to go to a program.
Susie, you arent kidding! When both of us are there its not as bad but Matt works most Sunday mornings so if I dont take them alone, we dont get to go.
I was never a huge fan of using patterns. I found them hard to read and decipher and I could never get them pinned to the fabric the right way. I would especially get frustrated because if I cut the pattern I couldn't use it to make a different size.... Continue reading

I took the girls (Kate, 4, Caroline, 3, and Rebecca, 1) to a new church today by myself. On the way in, I guilted the girls into being quiet. Yes, I was about to enter a Catholic church. Here's how it went: We walk in as the priest is bowing... Continue reading

Last week I took all 3 girls to the movies to see Disney's Winnie the Pooh. I need to start out by saying that I have a hard time finding things that are age appropriate for my kids, 4, 3, and 1. A lot of movies, and even tv shows,... Continue reading

I have heard a lot of people say they wish they knew how to sew. I've even heard people say they have a sewing machine and don't know how to sew. Learning to sew isn't difficult but I do remember that there aren't a lot of resources out there for... Continue reading

I know you are reading that title and thinking "Normal? What's normal?" Well, our family is anything BUT normal. I am married to the most amazing man. BUT, he works crazy, insane hours. Last week he worked 105 hours. (I don't keep track or anything...) Crazy, right? (The hours, I... Continue reading

I want to start doing a "Have you seen...?" feature every week. Things that I have seen on the internet that have inspired or struck a chord in me. 1. Melanie, from Above All Fabric, constantly does me in with her blog. She always posts new fabric and inspires me... Continue reading

Until recently, I had been in a bit of a funk. Matt's been working crazy hours and it's been so hot that we've been stuck indoors. The girls have been remarkably good, considering, but *I* am going crazy. I figured it was time I got creative and sat down at... Continue reading
