Christmas Getting On Your Nerves a Tad?
Then watch this fabulous bit of a British take on The Twelve Days of Christmas. Narrated by the wonderful Phoebe Waller-Bridge and sourced by me through the marvelous blog, The Women's Room. Enjoy!
As Anne Lamotte says, it's time to take "radical care" of yourself. Hopeful that you'll soon be picking up your own lattes.
Best wishes for continued healing and for a wonderful Christmas and New Year ahead!
Tiny, Tiny Things
This is a muddy attempt at a wreath. I don't have much. Been inside this house for ten days. What I haven't been is driving all over New York to conduct depositions and staying up all night to write reports. So while I'm feeling sorry for myself that I am missing the Christmas festiviti...

Hi Loretta,
I’ve really let my blog lapse since I started using Instagram. I wasn’t getting a lot of hits on the Typepad site. I feel like more people see what I post on Instagram.
Have you got an Instagram account?
So good to hear from you.

Hello. It's Me.
I know. Let’s just pretend I never left. I’m home and nursing a bad knee. I was already scheduled for knee replacement in early December when I exacerbated the knee a thousand fold two weeks ago. I went from wondering if I could just put the surgery off to next year, to having to call 911...
Hadn't posted on my Typepad account for a while and today went back to find you here again. Hurrah! Lousy about your knee--I know the hip isn't the same, but I had my hip done 5 years ago and I felt like a new woman. Good luck with the surgery. So neat to find your wonderful sense of humor here again. Keep posting!

The Glorious Spring Magnolia
In the midst of blizzard-like wind, snow and driving rain, the magnolia began to bloom this morning. Praying the weather calms so that I can enjoy these blooms for many, long weeks. Continue reading

Vine and rust
Saturday afternoon before Easter, John and I let the house cleaning go to walk from the library through Austin Park to downtown. Everywhere buds were starting and vines beginning their delicate climbs. Continue reading
