I think by his own admission he screwed up by underestimating the complexity of task. From talking with Erik, he has a desire to produce a very advanced mount that will control iris and focus wirelessly at a price point well under $1000. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But I guess it's big of him to fess up and say sorry.

Hi Robin,
When you hit slow mo trigger the file writes simultaneously to the samurai from the HD-SDI. The trouble is the Samurai only records 50i so you need to ensure the output is set to 50i not 25P. Then you simply de-interlace the samurai footage- using JES de-interlacer.
It's ok but not a great solution- to be honest we find the internal codec handles the slow mo pretty well

Paco, I'm a big fan of Zeiss ZF lenses. They have a Nikon mount but there are many adaptors out there to convert from EMount to Nikon. I'd look to get a 35mm f1.4 , a 50mm f1.4 and and 85mm f1.4 as a started lens set.
Sony FS100 & Zeiss Lenses a Perfect Match
I've been collecting Canon L series lenses for around the last 10 years. No doubt they are of great optical quality. However as someone who trained in broadcast TV I'm used to manually controlling Iris on the barrel of the lens and with an L Series lens this is simply not an option. This was ...
