Defense doesn't look nearly as bad as these queens like Navarro and Barry Jackson are saying. Dortch wasn't beat twice at all, but great placement and velocity on backshoulder TDs was why Orange scored.
Olsen Pierre and Grimble getting some disruption there. Gunter making some great plays. Howard "beat" for a td? Right. Guy had less than a step on him, just great offensive execution.
Honestly think the defense is clearly better than last year.
Miami's Spring Fling Set For Saturday

Pardon This Interruption For UM Basketball
If you have been all caught up in the excitement of college football recently and haven't been paying attention to any of the other University of Miami athletic teams then there is something that you need to know: There is a very positive vibe and a really strong buzz around the 2012-13 UM men'...
Also, please relegate Gaines to special teams only. Thx in advance.
Swagger Is Back!
This year when trying to decide a theme for our 2012 Canespace T-shirts our reigning blogger of the year OhioCane came up with a great idea: "I Earned My Swagger, How 'Bout U?" Well, we liked it so much that we selected it for the back panel of the Canespace T-shirts. I have been to just abou...
Good fans showing. Put together a strong atmosphere for a couple of recruits. Love it.

I think we can at least all agree that Jedd Fisch's offense has potential to be lights out at some point but is regressing right now, right?
As compared to Nix et al who showed no such potential that I can ever recall believing in.
Batter Up!
On the day his team officially begins its 2012-13 campaign with the opening of fall practice, University of Miami head baseball coach Jim Morris released the team's 2013 schedule Tuesday. Miami's 56-game regular season campaign, which includes 37 games inside Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light ...
Is our team really that bad that we have to resort to talking about these idiots?

Hahah well said. And I testify in front of the state leg tomorrow. (Don't ask)
Back to the truly entertaining stuff:
I'd say
Offense: Morris
Defense: EJ44
(True) Freshman: Duke Johnson
Coach: Art

God, some of PC's comments are really infuriating.
"Miami fans need to come to the realization that we are no longer in the 80’s. The years of being a perennial powerhouse are far and away in the rear-view mirror."
NO WAY. WE DID NOT. KNOW. THAT.
What we want to see is progress at the individual level, and guys getting confused / lost 24/7 just ain't it. Though 2nd half of last week gave glimmers of hope.
Trusting The Process

Golden said Jimmy Gaines looked good in practice today, might be ahead in race for starting MLB job
Uhhh, what?

Said it every time he was on the field last year, and I'll say it again: I have no idea why this guy looks good to them.
I guess it's a relative thing; even still, Cornelius showed a bit more upside in that GaTech game imo. (Still has his own problems) And Paul, even if he still gets lost like a freshman sporadically and doesn't wrap up at times. I saw every Carolina Panthers LB (including Beason) do that 2 weeks ago so that's forgivable. If it gets fixed.

Take for example the article I wrote above about the UNC game. The game was thoroughly depressing because it was a game we all drove HOURS to get to, thought we would win and should have won.
You should be in the parking lot AFTER these losses and hear REAL lifetime UM fans who spend all their spare cash and drive hours to go to the game and hear what they say. Most of it I can't even print it here.
The article I wrote is as FAIR and BALANCED as humanly possible without being pure nonsense and utter trash.
To PapaCane it probably reads as pure blasphemy. That's on HIM not ME.

if we're alternating between 15 yard runs and 3 yard runs, just run it Fisch. Thanks in advance.
Game Day Blog: UM vs UNC
Now it is about to get real. And by real, I mean serious. As in really serious. Over the next three weeks at Sun Life Stadium the 2012 Miami Hurricanes' football season will be determined to be a success or failure as UM faces three straight ACC teams at home in Miami. And the UM Ibis called me...
"Ohio State late" pass intereference Manny says. I'd be humored but whatever.

I prefer the raw emotion.
Signed,

The Orchids Are Beautiful, Wish U Were Here
I have been advised by many smart and well-intentioned people that I shouldn't get so "emotional" about Miami Hurricanes football, even when the team wins big, and especially when they lose badly. I guess to some people having feelings or emotions is somehow dangerous and expressing them is not ...

That Manny dropped that bomb today is just sickening.
Likely planned if we won or lost. I.e. If we won, it would knock the wind straight the eff out of us. Now that we've won, it's just piling on.
Also: nothing new.

Papa Cane @ByPapaCane
Youth and inexperience aside, there is no acceptable reason for the defense to give up so many yards every single game.
Papa Cane @ByPapaCane
Coach Mark D'Onofrio should be on the hot seat and will have a hard time coming back unless Golden sticks his neck out for him. Enough.
Papa Cane @ByPapaCane
Keep in mind that I am not discrediting Notre Dame's effort but I am incriminating D'Onofrio. Zero progress on defense. Reverse. Enough.
