i LOVE these posts so please keep them coming! my little girl is about a year younger than birdie so i love seeing what's coming up and i am very pro montessori. and can i just say: birdie has the BEST clothes - think i would wear any of those outfits myself {if they came in my size of course!}

what a sweet post for a sweet girl! and how wonderful for her to be surrounded by such loving parents and siblings. my little on is 13 months and i cannot wait until she can talk as i can see by her expressions she already has so much to say! :)

ooh thanks for sharing your finds, i particularly like the chair! we don't have any such market near here but we do have what are known as "car boot sales" which is mainly people selling a load of rubbish but you do get the occasional good thrifty find.

what great photos of your family and looks like an excellent day! our mothers day was back in march here in the UK but being aware of it being mothers day on the other side of the pond did make me think about motherhood and how lucky and privileged i am to be a mum to my little one. http://thislittlemum.blogspot.co.uk

that is exactly the sort of thing i would think of doing but somehow never get round to! i laughed out loud about the monogramming! kids are amazing :) this post also made me really excited about the prospect of my little one doing ballet some day. i so miss ballet myself and wish there was a good local adult class {there isn't :( }

ah that reminds me of getting the watercolours out when i was young. i can't wait until my little one can be properly introduced to art. we will happily make do with crayons for now though {she's one}. here's my moment this week: http://thislittlemum.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/1852.html

we have a shed but it is huge and filled with man stuff {boys and their toys eh?!} so i was just saying to my husband last weekend i would like a small little shed for gardening things. i am convinced it is a lack of appropriate shed that is standing between me and being better at gardening! we'll see...

how wonderful that your home and its environment can be such a source of inspiration, education and wonderment for your kids. i've said it before and i'll say it again: you are living the dream! my one year old absolutely loves birds and points them out wherever we go and recently has been saying "burr" occasionally too. so cute. http://thislittlemum.blogspot.co.uk

what a great afternoon. wine, bread, cheese, family and friends: what's not to like?! i wish we had vineyards... don't think the English climate is cut out for grape growing. we have to save up all our vineyard trips for when we are in france. http://thislittlemum.blogspot.co.uk

what a great experience! we took our daughter to a local farm for her first birthday on Monday {will be posting photos tomorrow} and she loved interacting with the lambs and baby goats and was mesmerised by the piglets! made me wish we had our own small holding. maybe one day... http://thislittlemum.blogspot.co.uk

i would also like to know what a persian cucumber is - i'm intrigued as we only have "cucumbers" here in the uk! i definitely want to make this, although i will have to hunt down some farro as it isn't something we usually see in the supermarkets here.

beautiful fabric, what a great top! i wish i had the confidence to sew myself some clothes. i can make small and quick things on the sewing machine but haven't attempted clothes in a long long time {probably since my textiles class at school when i was 14!}. your blog paired with my new favourite tv programme "the great british sewing bee" is definitely making my fingers itch to get sewing something. thanks for the inspiration! http://thislittlemum.blogspot.co.uk
