Last night, I broke. I was sick of it. My “self-help-o-meter” went off the charts. I was reading “The Untethered Soul,” and paragraph after paragraph, the author talked about how we, as humans, don’t realize that we’re in psychological pain. The book went on and on about how we’re allowing... Continue reading

Am I the only one that will try to pee out one more ounce to see the scale go down? INNER DIALOG THIS MORNING I’d reeeeeally like to see that scale get down the next number! I’m a freaking ounce off! Okay, what can I do? Man, I wish I... Continue reading

At the time of writing this blog post, I’m currently sitting in a little coffee shop. It’s 1:16pm in a small town and all the people here are having coffee and “talking smart”. There are conversations flying about without even a small sliver of silence between breaths. Being an empath,... Continue reading

THE TALE OF MANY MANIFESTS I was cruising down a New Mexico hi-way, when I saw a flash of pink in my left peripheral vision. Hoping it was a big fluffy Mary Kay car and not my kayak, I slowly turned my head. I heard the words, “Oh Shit!” and... Continue reading

”You’re out kayaking while I’m inside working all day.” This statement was one of the last straws that made me leave facebook four years ago. I was so pissed at that guy. I consciously used the the Law of Attraction for years to get here! How dare he make me... Continue reading

Yesterday I was belting out the words to my favorite “hand clapping, foot stomping” playlist. My trusty mini camper van (Gypsy Jack) and I weaved around the winding mountain roads of Canyon Lake Arizona. I was feeling alive and free and didn’t care who was watching. Sensing a fun time,... I am free, alive and in love. These are the words my Spirit Guides gave me today. I asked how I could feel amazing when I’m around others who are negative and complaining. I love my family but some of them complain about their friends, jobs and many other things... Continue reading

Why did I cut ties with ALL of my friends, essentially abandon my blog and followers, leave facebook and stop dating for two years? I couldn’t have answered these questions two years ago. I just knew I needed to. This was not an act of depression, even though it has... Continue reading

I'm super excited to be learning about Psychosomatic pain! I've had weird illness, pain and even injuries all of my life. Some of this is attributed to being an empath and taking on other's pain but now that I've gotten a handle on my out of control empath side, there... Continue reading

Somehow right as she's taking her last breath, I swoop in and shake her, slap her face and plead for her to stay a little longer. Even though I've grown to hate her, I can't imagine living without her. If she dies and leaves me, who am I? ...if I continue to hold onto her, I'll continue to stop myself from moving forward. In other words, if she lives I won't be able to. Continue reading

I've been stuck lately. If you follow my blog you've probably gleaned that from my lack of consistent writing for the last, oh say, several years. Or have I ever really been consistent? Hmm... once again, I digress. The truth of the matter is that I've been a bit "frozen"... Continue reading

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist." - Oscar Wilde. After a life altering event, we often say, "Life is short," or we post, "life goes on quotes," on facebook but are we taking steps to live life to its fullest after this reflection... Continue reading

If you've attended any of my classes, events, in-person sessions or maybe just know me casually it's quite possible that you've heard me say, "I believe that everyone should be assigned a good therapist at birth. As soon you enter the world she can be there to say, 'I know... Continue reading

MASTERING BALANCE As some of you may know, I have been working hard on the "back-end" of my business. To me, that means revamping my websites, building two more (maybe three), laying down a plan so I have more consistency in my blogging and vlogging. I can hear some of... Continue reading

Deb's Note: As some of you may know, I started a somewhat silly instagram account as a "playground" of sorts as I start a journey of losing weight and getting fit. I did this on a whim and with zero real expectation other than the fact that I could post... Continue reading

Well, hello there. I must confess, I don't always keep up with the "marketing" portion of my businesses but when I do... I add old interviews to my website. I've run across this 2013 interview with Tom Becca recently and thought I would share! Listen in or not...it's your call.... Continue reading

Re-post: Originally posted on A Slap in the Face for the Soul Blog (no longer available) Anger management is not always the answer. Does it help in the moment when you’re about to jump over the counter and strangle the Walmart cashier because she was using you as her therapist?... Continue reading

It feels like a 100 years since we’ve connected! If you’ve read my other posts you know that I’ve been dealing with herniated, compacted and degenerative discs in my upper and lower spine for 27 years (this February). I received these because of a bad crash in which I rolled... Continue reading
