Arisa's Typical Morning By Nadia Truman "Ring, ring, R-" "Good morning, Cambridge Machining!" Arisa chirped. "One moment and I'll transfer you." Clickety-click went the mouse and the pointer on the screen dragged the phone number as the mouse scraped across the surface of the desk. Arisa glanced over at a teatering stack of papers in her IN tray. Those needed to be sorted, processed and filed. She picked up the stack from her IN tray and- "Ring, ring!"Arisa quickly dropped the papers and siezed the mouse. "Good morning, Cambridge Machining! ... One moment and I'll transfer you." Clickety-click, scrape, click.... Continue reading

I love to write. Much of my writing was traditionally in the fiction category. In order to encourage myself to continue to write fiction while I'm on the upcoming tour (I leave May 1st.), I decided that days which I consider "Travel days" and I find myself mostly in the car driving to the next city or state I will try to post fiction or short blips about the traffic. That is why the Daily Happenings and Fiction Writings categories were created. This way I should when wifi is available be able to post something at least once every day.... Continue reading

VS It's a little known secret in Cleveland that these two restaurants used to be the same restaurant owned by one family. At some point in the past, they had a little falling out, I suppose. Tasty's Pizza, located on Mayfield Road east of Richmond Road, was the original family restaurant. When the two sides parted ways, part of the family remained with Tasty's Pizza and the other side went across the street to open Vincinato's taking with them the family recipies. So, the battle between two restaurants began. Most people you talk to in the Lyndhurst area have a... Continue reading

Thank you so much! I don't travel with kids, but I will definitely use your advice with trips for my 50 week adventure of the United States I have. It certainly will make for some great memories about the locals and my mouth waters at thinking about all of the fresh food I'll have the opportunity to try. Thank you again! Nadia

FOR WARNING: This venue is for adults over the age of 18 due to alcoholic beverages served at bar. There is nothing like going to hear a great band live. At Peabody's, I often go to see my favorite bands perform for the audience. My favorite local band is Falling Into Fire. I happen to be friends with quite a few of their members, but that doesn't mean I'm biased. They sound fantastic! Check out their link above to find out more about them. The first concert I ever hear of them was at Peabody's. Although I don't drink alcohol,... Continue reading

Ok. So, many of you have waited. I promised to announce the first four states, and here they are... But, before I get too hasty and just type them, I have second primary purpose for this blog post. This is first and foremost a chance for you my fellow readers to request places for me to go. In order to do that, I needed a place like my fan page on Facebook, that was also on my blog for those who do not have a Facebook account. So here they are: Ohio Kentucky Indiana Michigan Please, comment on this posting... Continue reading

Hello, everyone. I hope you are all very well today. Midnight is approaching as the clock right now reads 11:43 PM on December 31st. I find myself locked inside my room still fighting off some form of cold or what-not trying to not infect others as I wait for the new year to begin alone. As such, it makes me remember my childhood and New Year's. Oh, the traditions we had. You see, New Year's was rather special to my family long ago. I can remember them fondly even now. Every year, without fail, we would gather at my Aunt... Continue reading

This little secret of locals in Memphis is a great place to get some Memphis Bar-B-Q! It is so good I plan on making a trip back to Memphis on my tour, so I can eat more of it! They are small little diner like restaurants that may not look top notch from the outside, but let me tell you, they keep the quality where it counts: their bar-b-q. Best known from locals for their pulled pork, but I have to confess. At the time I ordered, I didn't know this. So instead of pulled pork, I ordered ribs. To... Continue reading

Elvis is certainly alive in this city. The air in Memphis seems to breathe Elvis as everywhere you go, and they are proud of being the city where Elvis lived, died, and was buried. Millions of people pilgrimage out to Graceland every year to visit the final resting place of Elvis Presley. Truthfully, there is no wonder why. Graceland seems to take you back in time to when Elvis was still alive. Who he was and the charisma and just allure that made Elvis the King is part of every detail down to the last flower or decoration at Graceland.... Continue reading
