Don't forget that Franco is only 21 (22 in a few days though)!

What in the world does a concussion have to do with the "luck" related to BABIP? That makes absolutely no sense... All that the stats Cyclic posted show is that his BABIP is up, while everything else is nearly identical. The only stat with any real significance is that he's striking out MORE batters (a good thing). So, by a slight stretch of your logic RR, the concussion has caused Kendrick to be able to strike out more batters.

Tal, post all you want. It was simply annoying to read like a 6v1 argument where you kept digging a deeper hole instead of just admitting they were right about the situation. As for your articles, I do share some of the same feelings with TTI, but I was simply confused about how it started. Like were you trying to be the new blogger here or were you established elsewhere already? It did seem like you thought everyone was interested, and it's fine to share them, I just was confused about what the origin was. Good luck with whatever your intent is. That's all I'll say about this now-back to baseball posts please!

On a much, much lighter note...anyone else see Amaro do the ice bucket challenge? Gained some respect back for him

I gotta back TTI here. I've held back for a while with this because I've tried to be respectful, but who the HECK are you Tal? I don't wanna bash your writing cuz everyone has to start somewhere, but it is very bleacher-report-ish (not a good thing). I just don't get why you think everyone is like DYING to see what your newest article is... But when you're wrong, own up to it. Don't continue to dig yourself a deeper hole. And from what I've seen you've gone after TTI and some others as much, if not more, than they've "attacked" your writing.

There's stupidity, and then there's covering up your stupidity with more stupidity. Yeesh!

Is an 80-85 OPS+ (if he can get there, which is no sure thing), even with really good defense, enough to be a starter in a corner OF spot? To me Revere's gotta be a CF or a bench player

repost: goba - Plus a healthy lineup and a more consistent bullpen? There's potential there. Not having the Youngs, Nix, Mini, etc. also goes toward that "28 game turnaround."

repost: Thoughts on the postseason now? Dodgers haven't been playing well lately and I have no confidence in the Braves. I think the NL rep will come from the Central. Feels like it could be the Pirates year, but the Cards would be my 2nd choice. Not even sure about the AL...it's wide open and the 2nd WC isn't even decided yet

gobaystars - Lee/Hamels/MAG/Halladay or Kendrick/Pettibone - the rotation is fine. Lineup should be fine if everyone is healthy, although they could use another corner OF to kick Ruff to the bench. Bullpen has potential with Martin and Diekman and the bench will be alright if they are smart about it - Ruff, Rupp, Galvis, Hernandez, LH power bat. It's not a great team but they can at least contend for the the wild-card or the division (because it isn't that good).

No BBs or XBHs all year for Mini...WHY is he here?!

So thankful that this season is almost over...way too many injuries and poor decisions by Amaro this year. Really looking forward to our chances next year with a healthy Howard and hopefully a rejuvenated Halladay along with some smart bullpen/OF signings

bap - Not lately but I know he was solid as a bench piece in Washington the past 2 or 3 years. Especially defensively. No fake Jake is off trolling somewhere else or posting as someone else probably.

Bernadina! Liking him more and more!

Just chiming back in - Bernadina really can be a good 4th OF. Between the catch earlier and that clutch hit, I think he has it in him for next year. J-Roll will slow down the charge here though. Mini-mac should be starting today.

Iceman - I just get annoyed at the fair-weather fans who only root for/watch the team when they're good.

awh - Not necessarily. Some young prospects start out as bench pieces.

GTown - I don't see how any fan can't be excited about their team doing well. Those two are ML-quality, just not ML starters. If others are healthy, they won't be starting for us.

Mayberry and Bernadina absolutely can be your 4th/5th OFs if you are contending team. If they have to start for a long period of time is where you can get in trouble. If this team is healthy I really don't see why they don't have a good chance next year.

I agree that Ruf should be hitting clean-up but at least it does give the lineup more balance so the bottom half isn't so horrible. Gives him more chances to have someone on too. Missed the catch but I think Bernadina can still be a 4th/5th OF next year.
