A quick comment in regard to the stadium completion: There is a very real chance the stadium will be complete on the due date of September 1. Having been in the commercial construction business for 35 years, I can tell you a lot of pressure is being put on the subcontractors and suppliers working on the stadium. It generally goes something like this. The general contractor will call a jobsite meeting and all the decision makers from each subcontractor will be there. Gentlemen, we must get done by this date or liquidated damages will be assessed to each of you based on the percentage of work left to be completed. These damages will be x amount per day and deducted from your contract. As you know, you can dispute the damages but attorney fees are nonrecoverable and you will also get no future work contracts from our company. In addition, no payments will be made to your company until the final inspection is complete and accepted. Of course, all the subs know that the GC is contracted to receive a bonus in addition to his base contract amount if the job comes in on time. And it will just so happen that should the project come in late, the damages assessed to the subs on the job will equal the amount of bonus the general contractor would have received. The GC doesn't care if you complete your work in the amount of days listed in the construction schedule, nor does he care that the subs who began the project took too long to do their work and thus put the job behind schedule. All he cares about is the guys who are now on the job will be expected to make up that time at their own cost. Oh, but the carrot and stick that will be used is always the same. We will make it up to you guys on the next job by giving you last look to get a contract, ie. we will let you match the low bid and get the job. Oh goody goody. And the little guys get screwed again.

Njoku high jumped 6'-11" in high school. After a year of Swasey and a college high jump coach the kid will do 7'-2 or higher this year. That's getting UP! The top jumper for 2015 NCAA outdoor jumped 7'-4.5". David could be a real contender in the next couple of years because the rest of the top contenders are all around 7'-2".

Miami metropolitan area population per the 2010 census 5.6 million. Hurricane 'announced' attendance Saturday 44500. What gives? I just don't get it. They played a whale of a game!

Dwayne Lawson http://tbo.com/sports/preps/the-tribunes-all-hillsborough-county-track-field-teams-20140601/ Also- Mike Wyche not listed on the roster at hurricanes sports. Is he coming? And they are still listing Armbristor as a senior and not a redshirt junior.
Canes 26-Pitt 19.
I was sick before. But I feel MUCH better now.

FSU could conceivably play for a national championship. Alabama has LSU next week plus at Miss State and at Auburn and Oregon is at Stanford next week. That was a very good team that beat us last night and they play nobody else any good except a depleted Florida in G-ville the last game of the regular season. We could really be a spoiler for them if we can win out. But we would have to step up big in the ACC game. We may get to see Walter Tucker, The Bus, or even Corn Elder before the year is through. Otherwise it's Crawford and Clements. Eduardo will definitely get a lot more plays. Next man up.....

We have to confuse them. Which, given it's FSU, shouldn't be that tough. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Tutor-alleges-some-Noles-reading-on-2nd-grade-l?urn=ncaaf,196189
Shameful! Don't think it! Ink it!
So... do we run the hurryup offense or not? Grind the ball and take time off the clock is what has been suggested. But, we've played the fast tempo offense the whole season. What say U?
I'm as happy as a pig in slop with our record. A win is a win. The last 5 years have been tough! We are on the way back- finally. Enjoy the ride and the game on Saturday will be a hell of a roller coaster. But- can we please beat Virginia? Pleeease?
Let's see. Tallahassee.....Shoney's, Burger King, Barnacle Bills, Outback. Not much.
Keep in mind, Vegas lines are set according to how the oddsmakers believe the betting public will pick. They try to get 50% bet on FSU and 50% bet on UM and then keep the juice. The line is then adjusted according to the bets made during the week leading up to the contest. It is not based on what they believe the actual outcome of the game will be. This is a rivalry game. I don't think we lose by 22. Our key to beating the spread is stopping the home runs.

Georgia by 3 over UF. The oddsmakers are not taking the rivalry effect into account in our game, but apparently did in the Georgia game against a depleted UF.

Steven Morris is a great kid. What a leader. The gut check difference between this team and the team Al took over is tremendous. Enjoy the game people. These are good times and big steps our boys are making. Enjoy the journey. I am happy and proud of and for these kids win or lose. And bring on FSU. We have the speed and toughness on both sides of the ball to win this game. And even if we don't, our team will be there with all they have. What else can a fan ask for? This was a great win. And I will enjoy next week no matter what happens. That said, HIDE AND WATCH FSU!
