When do you sew?
I have been thinking about this a lot lately. When do I love to be creative? When is the best time of day for my sewing time? How can I be more productive when working on my projects and patterns? For one, I am striving to "shake" this year up and fill it up with "passion" (my word for the year). I have a big goal for the amount of patterns I want to get... Continue reading

"Rosaline" Pattern Update
I am hard at work getting "Rosaline" ready for pattern testing (hopefully it will be sometime next week!) I thought I would manage to get the pattern out by the end of the month, however, I want to make sure I love the finished product, that the quality is spot on, along with trying out some additional fabrications, and that it has everything I am looking for in this pattern including the addition of the... Blanket Scarf Tutorial and How I Wear Mine...
I have totally fallen onto the blanket scarf trend bandwagon. I love a good scarf, I love a quick project, and let's face it, I hate being cold. Not only was this project quick and something that I finished up in just an afternoon, but has been something that has constantly been on rotation in my handmade wardrobe. I like to wrap mine twice around my neck and get it really bundle and cozy right... Continue reading

The studio...
My studio is where I generally spend my time sewing and working on the patterns or my handmade wardrobe. Since, I am busy working on getting the next pattern out and spending a little more time in the studio, I thought it would be fun to share my sewing space. This is where my inspiration board is and the city on the wall was actually from one of our valentine cards. I drew out a... Continue reading

My One Little Word for 2015
I have spent a few weeks pondering what word I wanted to set as my intention for the year. I needed, wanted, craved a word that I would be something that I could really infuse and implement into my life this year. I wanted something very intentional, very tangible, something I could focus on, something I could accomplish, and something very me. For awhile, I really felt like flourish was going to be my word,... Continue reading

Not only to freshen it up a little, but hopefully make it easier to find things along with being more user friendly. The biggest change over the weekend is the newly revamped Tutorials page. It's a million times easier to find tutorials, diys, and printables. I hope you'll check it out! Continue reading

The only handmade gifts I managed to get finished before Christmas...
I only managed to get a few handmade gifts done before Christmas and they were literally made/started and finished in about the 3 days before Christmas Eve. After the crazy flu/cold/hold-me-up-on-all-my-holiday-game-plans illness of early December, I really had to narrow down what were the most important and what I could actually get finished in the few days before Christmas. Let's face it, I had to be on real-sewing-time not fantasy-sewing-time. So here's what went down:... Continue reading

Lovely blanket! I have been a dedicated reader since the end of 2006/beginning of 2007. My favorite posts aren't really just one particular post, but the actual seeing through the photos, the reading of the posts, and the achieving of goals as a whole makes this one of my favorite blogs and one I look forward to reading!
the 30th knit blanket
Last year, while I was knitting my 29 blankets, I knitted one extra (I think it was number 19). I didn't have enough of two yarns colors at the house and I was wanting to knit so I just started adding scrap yarn together. Of course, then I ran out of scrap yarn and had to go buy more to actual...

The time I made 12 hats and 14 scarves...
my mom is one of those amazing teachers out there who is always going above and beyond. (I might be a little biased but she really is the best!) This year we brainstormed some gift ideas for the kids in her class and we came up with an awesome idea. Hats for the boys and scarves for the girls with their initials on them. We bought the iron on transfer, the fabric, ran the fabric... Continue reading
