I was modeling positive affirmations one day for my prebeliever. He got such a kick out of it that he has the following memorized. I am beloved. I am a child of The King. I am the head and not the tail. Above and not below. I squash demons with my feet.

I thank the Lord for Lynn and Dineen's ministry, and for my local pastor, Eric. I am thankful for my fur babies, the ever sweet Misti America, the loving Blackbeard (both cats) and crazy puppy Nick. That my unequally yoked hubs is generous. That I have a job. That it was sunny today. That Lynette checks in on my well being and Jo encourages me. For Eugene that leads Bible study at work. For yarn crafts that entertain me. For my family and best buddies. For scripture that sustains me. Amen.

Like Jo, I also enjoy seeing your face and hearing your voice. Yes. It has been a long time to carry a burden. It can leave me weary. So. I collect the good moments. The sun was shining today as my puppy went with me on my walk and pray. I choose to focus on that, rather than the difficulties. Thanks for the reminder of this example of endurance, faith and pressing on. You know my prayer request.

I noticed Mum was in the birthday photo on facebook. I am so happy to hear this news and the news that the book is progressing.

Liz, welcome aboard. This is a loving and active community of men and women who love The Lord and love a "prebeliever." You will enjoy the book.

Prebeliever and I had a conversation recently. He thought a loving God would accept people however they were and a life stlyle of sin should not matter. My response was that He does accept people however they are, but made a way for them to escape sin. Passages like the one cited above show His love and mercy for people from all sorts of situations. But after an encounter with Him, He tells them not to sin any more. As Christians, we should welcome all sorts of people without judgement. And then guide them to a better way, reconciled with God.

I have also seen God work in my puppy as an answer to prayer. This gave me the opportunity to witness to my prebeliever. When he noticed that Nick was starting to mature and calm down, I could respond "Of course. Remember I Prayed for that at dinner the other day. " He has to notice how often God says yes to my specific audible prayers. Last Sunday, prebeliever asked whether I prayed for him that day. I said "Of course, I pray for you every day." He had told a friend that I did and wanted to check that he was right. I think he could feel the prayer working on him. Don't you?

I love the part about the Spirit moving you to ((hug)) your sister. It sounds like she really needed that and timing was perfect. Prayers for Mom!

I just woke up with negative thoughts and commanded the demons tormenting me to leave and not come back. Then I turned on some Christian music and sang along a bit before catching up here. Your articles are so timely. Thanks.

You expected 7 years and it has been so much longer in our earthly perception. Yet you continue in faith and with hope. That adds stars in your crown. May we all continue for the joy set before us and in us. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks. You do understand where I am.

I rely so much on God and His love. Recently, however, I have had a harder time showing joy and showing love for myself. I put love into marriage, work, pets, projects, etc. I need to regain energy, physical discipline, etc. I give myself some slack for a burden that I am carrying. But I need to protect against a spirit of despair. Focusing on His holy love will strengthen me.

I love how you picked up on the enemy's trick and realized it was not from you or God.

As frustrated as I get at times with hubby's behavior, I also feel sorry for the lack of resources he has without Christ. It is an odd place to be with different perspectives. I pray that you and I see our guys with eyes of love.

Martha, from knowing you online, I find you very caring and loving. You put thought, wisdom, and diplomacy into feedback when others seek help or comfort. Your pride in family is obvious in your blog and posts.

Hebrews 2:16-18 It's obvious, of course, that he didn't go to all this trouble for angels. It was for people like us, children of Abraham. That's why he had to enter into every detail of human life. Then, when he came before God as high priest to get rid of the people's sins, he would have already experienced it all himself—all the pain, all the testing—and would be able to help where help Was needed.

Thank you for your encouraging testimony. Many prebeliever's think Christianity is about regulations. Your focus on grace is a miuch better representation of the gospel, the good news.

The radio is another area of caution. I listen to Christian radio almost exclusively. Thank God for it. (I think I will go send them some money this morning to help ensure that they continue to be there.) Shows often treat sin so casually. If a couple goes on a first date, they assume they will have sex. etc I try not to complain if he wants to watch sports. There are worse options.
