I been lurkin, bap. I been lurkin. I still learn more about the Phillies from the BL comments than anywhere else. It's comforting.

@Beerleaguer If the #Marlins can upgrade from Garrett Jones at 1B, as they intend, they're a playoff team. Here's depth chart: http://atmlb.com/13dfIOu ~~~ NOTE: Do NOT look at the Phillies depth chart. It's insanely depressing.

We really have to watch Galvis start at SS every game now?

Everyone here is forgetting the fact that Ruf is a guaranteed .850 OPS hitter.

Sick thing is, the Giants don't win it all in 2012 or 2014 without... Hunter Pence.

So, Burnett surprisingly elected free agency...

I heard that the scuttlebutt in Philly is... -Dump Ryan Howard for nothing. -Move Utley to 1st -Trade Hamels to Boston for a package including a stud 2B prospect. -Sign Lester

I didn't mean currently, more like down the line. I have a feeling that's the path he's on.

Anyone have any bright ideas for the rotation next year? When do you think we'll see Nola in MLB? Will Imhof be traded for offense?

Franco and Ruf, not starting again. Gotta really see more of Asche and Brown in these meaningless September games to figure out what we've got there.

How did the workout go? Do we have a good OF yet?

Clout: So in other words... "I didn't come here for this."

You think Burnett's retiring for sure?

Also the Phillies aren't getting Tomas.

NM, they probably won't try MAG to start again.

Revere Ruiz Utley Howard Tomas Rollins Brown RHP/Ruf LHP Asche RHP/Franco LHP P Platoons sort themselves out. I think Franco probably starts in AAA as well. Utley/Howard probably sort themselves out of 3/4 at some point too. Hamels Lee Burnett Buchanan Williams/Scrap heap FA The 5 spot is just a placeholder until Nola is ready. I would probably try MAG again in the rotation as well.

Come on, it's just a fantasy. I just hope for better baseball and that more things break right for the Phils in 2015.

Byrd is traded in my fantasy. Also, Lee and Burnett come back healthy. Lee is as good as he was pre injury, maybe slight regression. Burnett much better than this year. 90 wins

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2014_09_17_phimlb_sdnmlb_1&mode=recap_away&c_id=phi "[Ruf] is hitting .255 with 17 doubles, one triple, 20 home runs, 48 RBIs and an .814 OPS in 424 career plate appearances. He has been even more productive as a starter, carrying an .851 OPS in 98 career starts before Wednesday." "But he has played only sporadically since the Phillies recalled him from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on July 22. It had not started that way. Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg announced the following afternoon he planned to play Ruf frequently at first base the rest of the season. He said he already knew what Ryan Howard could do. He wanted to see others play there. Sandberg benched Howard for three consecutive games July 23-25, but after Amaro quickly came out to support Howard, Ruf's playing time at first base dwindled. Wednesday was Ruf's fifth start at first base in the past 49 games. He has started in left field just 10 times in that 49-game stretch."

Gwynn Asche Utley Howard Sizemore Brown Rupp Galvis Burnett What a freaking joke.

Agreed, Juums. Would be even more concerning to me if he were in a 3-23 stretch while starting every day, which we all know will never happen.

Dollar sign ruined the whole thing for me. 2/10

In 2010/2011 when it was a weekend series and Phillie fans descended upon the city turning it basically into a home game, it was awesome.
