All these are very amusing. I'm picturing the gang from "The Website is Down" only in an auto shop setting.

OP, not sure if you would see this in time, but being the Potter fan you are, I just have to show you this. (If you have not already seen this yet.) A musical production of "Puffs" is going to be showing in theaters Wednesday, May 9th, and Saturday, May 12th. It was filmed off Broadway, and is showing in theaters as a special engagement. If you look up Fathom Events online, you can see the event and find out where it may be playing near you.

I feel (or have felt) your pain. Many many years ago, I worked for a private security guard company in southern California. They were bought out by another company in 2000, so I feel I can reveal them as Socal Security Services, Inc. ( I can see other companies currently open under that or similar name now, but not the same company, to my knowledge.) I kept getting local phone calls (non-800#) for people trying to contact Social Security. Social Security only had an 1-800 number listed for all their offices. But people trying to find a local number were given ours by directory services. Not a day went by for the year I worked there that I didn't get a wrong number.

Had a similar experience when I worked at Walmart. (Also toys) One busy afternoon I was helping out in Sporting goods and noticed a folded up $20 on the floor. I was able to pick it up, and was intending on taking it up to the Customer Service desk. However, it was too busy for me to leave the area. So I palmed the bill (instead of placing it in my pocket.) and continued assisting customers. After helping out a few more customers, I noticed someone going through searching the floor. I approached and asked if I could help. Turns out he had dropped a $20 and was retracing his steps. As I still had it in hand, I was able to hand it over right then.

It's not the size of the store, it's the size of the parking lot. ADA rules define that per so many spaces in the lot, a specific quantity must be handicap. (And of those spaces, there needs to be some designated as van-accessible.)

I've called it both pound and number sign. (Though, there is a symbol for the pound, when referring to currency ( £ ) (Not sure how this translates in the font showing up.) Some people could just as easily confuse this when they hear pound sign.

Ah, I remember my first frustration bomb threat. Worked in a parking garage downtown. One evening we had a car that had an alarm that just kept going and going. It was parked on the first ramp just facing our office, with the sound and headlights shining directly into our office. A guy who lived in an apartment across the street came in and said if we didn't do anything about it, he would blow it up. I just called the mall security, who called police. They came in and spoke with the guy. Don't recall the resolution, but they did not detain him.

Someone apparently didn't beware, and accidentally swapped the B and the R.

Not sure if a horror story is the best sales tool to get rid of a bed frame. (Then again, you never know who this would appeal to.)

I now have 2 new phrases to use. Excellent. Great Job!! "He tried to throw me under the bus, only to find out I was driving it." "...gotten to hold up his own foot for him to shoot."

Sad to hear. I've never ran into such beasts when I worked there (Toy Dept.), but I have been there when Pet Associate brought over fish that tried eating fish hooks that some B#####D dropped into the tank for kicks. Out of curiosity, why wasn't burying the fish an option? It sounds like the fish was indeed paid for already.

I saw what you did there. Cut it out.

Doesn't say they were Open 24 hours/ 7 days a week. Just says Giant 24 hours /7 days a week. At no time during the week are they not Giant.

It's been said that it takes a village to raise a child. Sadly, too many village idiots refuse the help.

Ambigram. That's the word I was looking for. Thanks Kai. (I believe I've seen that in at least one of the Dan Brown books a few years ago.)

Fancy way of printing the word "Impossible" to read both upside-down and downside-up.

With those 8 letters, I've come up with "RANK SMEL". Which is closely related to that ARSE.

My wife just dealt with something very similar earlier this week. Kid, approx. 2 to 3, jumped off a shopping cart. My wife tried to warn the mother to secure the kid. The mother basically told my wife to F* off and MYOB. Kid fell, split head and upper lip. Mother then started complaining, and yelling that she was going to be suing WalFart. My wife ended up giving her contact info the the manager, and said if they have the cameras recording as they should at the front end, they could easily report to CPS.

Technically, he didn't "conquer" the course. He fell on one obstacle. But he came back on the course to tackle the last obstacle. Amazing run though, considering the outfit he was wearing.

That would be one hell of a bank shot.

I don't see that as a "Full Cart" of groceries. I see that as a display showing everything on the receipt. They have that at the bottom of the cart so they can display all the items. If they sat at the bottom of the cart, it would be difficult to see everything. The sign has their receipt for the items along with a receipt from their nearby competitor showing the same items purchased. "By Grabthar's hammer... what a savings."

Not sure I get the "security" fail. This appears to be a TV showing a video, possibly in the Layaway or Customer Service area, for customers waiting in line.
