Have you tried any of the DistINKtive stamp sets from Stampin' Up!? The photopolymer stamp set, Lasting Lily is one of them. The surface looks almost flat until you hold it up to the light to see all the detail. You will find that it needs less ink to get the best image. Continue reading

The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (another FREE Sale-a-Bration product) has 2 sheets each of both large and small butterflies already colored. So I could punch them out with the Butterfly Duet punch. However, you need to trim some of them apart in order to punch them and not punch into adjacent butterflies. It took a little time to punch enough for everyone. Continue reading

Starting this month, January 2019, we are celebrating the birthdays of stampers at my classes. I make a card and gift for each of them. This month, I made 3 birthday cards for all the class members to sign and a coordinating gift with the Well Said stamp set and coordinating Well Written Framelits Dies and the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. The colors are Merry Merlot and Petal Pink. Continue reading

Have you seen the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies in the Occasions Catalog? There are 13 double stitched dies so when you cut your card stock, you'll have a solid piece with a stitched outside border and a frame with a stitched inside border! One cut can do double duty, so I used both pieces to create this window card. Continue reading

In our check-in convention bag at OnStage in Orlando in November there was a really fun stamp set called Amazing Life. As I was preparing for classes this month and searching for ideas, I found a great card created by Mary Deatherage. Although I changed the layout, I kept the color scheme of Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Smoky Slate and the stamped design. I never would have thought of overlapping the wording with the cake and adding the small flourish accents, but it really caught my eye! Continue reading

Here are the photos from my November class. There are lots of techniques on this gate fold birthday card, starting with inking the inside of the Woodlands Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Soft Sky and running through the Big shot. We did a lot of sponging on the Stitched Shapes circle to define the edges and color the sky and highlight the banner. Continue reading

Today, September 1, is the first day you may order from the new Holiday Catalog. There are so many great stamp sets, bundles, kits, tools, and embellishments for fall and winter paper crafting.
