My Cuisinart DL-8 Plus is from 1984 and it's still going strong. I prefer the old models with the lever pulse/on switches as opposed to the newer push-button models. I have attachments they no longer make, like the 1mm slicing blade and a whisking unit that has two beaters that revolve around the interior of the bowl for beating egg whites and whipped cream. I've replaced my S blade numerous times, as well as all the plastic parts, but that motor will never give out. It's a keeper for life.
