Hi and thanks for all this help! Our college is not sure if we should direct students to follow a database vendor's citation policy for when students cite from this database in their projects. The vendor is Euromonitor. The Euromonitor citation policy seems to go against APA -- for instance, it mentions to include the full job title of the author of a report (e.g., "Michael Schaefer, Head of Beverages and Consumer Food service at Euromonitor International"). Should we follow Euromonitor's citation policy when it comes to how students cite from this database? (We have also contacted Euromonitor for more clarification about their policy.) The link to the Euromonitor policy is below - thank you so much! http://www.euromonitor.com/citation-policy

Hi and thanks for all this help! Our college is not sure if we should tell students to follow a database vendor's citation policy for when they cite from this database in their projects. The vendor is Euromonitor. The Euromonitor citation policy says to include the full title of the author in the reference. For example, Michael Schaefer, Head of Beverages and Consumer Foodservice at Euromonitor International. Should we follow Euromonitor's policy for what we tell students? How to Use Excel 2010 [Lynda.com online course]. Retrieved from http://www.lynda.com/Excel-tutorials/How-to-Use-Excel-2010/123569-2.html Thank you so much, Timothy! All the best, Mike

Hi Jeff, This is so helpful! Is the copyright date always used as the year of publication, even on websites and online databases like Books 24x7? If so do we include the copyright symbol before the date as in the following citation example (thanks, Jeff!): Sykes, M., Malik, A. N., & West, M. D. (© 2013). Stories that move mountains: Storytelling and visual design for persuasive presentations. [Books24x7version] Retrieved from http://common.books24x7.com.library.sheridanc.on.ca/toc.aspx? bookid=51255
