Well, last year's resolution was so successful, that I want to do it again. My husband and I have gone on a lunch date to a new-to-us restaurant once a month. With a house full of kids, getting away can be a trick, but we managed for all 12 months. For knitting, I'm going to dig out my Level 1 Master Handknitter program and finish it This time I have a study group to help me stay on task. Also, I want to finally knit a fade sweater before the trend goes away.

This week, I've been carrying on my great-grandmother's tradition of mailing coconut pecan candy balls to family members across the country. She did this for as long as I can remember - the metal tin taped with reinforced tape and filled with foil layers cradling chocolate covered candies. I've updated a little - no paraffin in my coating, and it's easier to get plastic tubs than tins, but I send them to the same people: Great aunts and uncles, second cousins, my uncles, siblings. Some of these people I've only seen a few times in my life. This tradition keeps us linked. I've been told that they will understand if I get too busy to carry it on, but I enjoy sending a bit of Nano's tradition along every year. P.S. I've always wanted to knit socks inspired by Monet's colors. Looks like I'll be placing an order.
Oh, I'm a stasher. I try for the most part to only stash with a pattern in mind, but things creep in. I'm a sucker for Madelinetosh on sale, and HHF are so pretty, and the Life in the Long Grass would be so great for that new Romi Hill pattern. . . Well, that and I stash faster than I knit. Sigh! It has gotten to the point where I look at my stash and think that if by some miracle, I knit everything in it, I don't know where I'd keep the finished items. Oh look, that yarn has sparkles!

We make these ginger molasses cookies every Christmas. My kids love rolling them in colored sugar or Demerara sugar and they are popular everywhere I take them. You can't eat just one! https://www.cooks.com/recipe/ki1ok27e/soft-ginger-molasses-cookies.html. I've looked for years for the Snickerdoodle recipe my mom used to use before she went gluten free. It was from a book called Country Cakes and I think it had cardamom in the cookies. They tasted like nothing else. I've never found it.

Dijon and Cereal. I'm in a yellow mood today. Must be all the daffodils in bloom.
Evergreen, Meadow and Beach Grass.
On a deck overlooking the Pacific ocean anywhere from San Diego to Sebastapol. I had a lovely knit at a coffee shop in Ventura once. It's hard to be stressed about your knitting with the ocean ebbing and flowing. A patch of sunshine in the woods at Point Reyes is pretty nice, too.
Vintage scrapbook.
I'm not currently KALing with you, but I'd make my Kallara in Blood Runs Cold and Optic because every time I wear red, I remember that I don't have a shawl to match.
Gorgeous yarns! It has to be the Mome Raths. I have a friend poised to knit a Cloudlift shawl out of a Wonderland gradient set. It sounds like a good idea to me, we could be twins!
Blueberry Girl and Peach Pit call my name. Lovely colors! I like them best on the Take a Hike base.
I am signing up to take a colorwork class on increases and decreases in fair isle and brioche. I can't wait!

The thing I make most often for holiday gatherings is a batch of proscuitto wrapped figs stuffed with blue cheese. I never have any extra to take home. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/member/views/prosciutto-wrapped-gorgonzola-figs-w-balsamic-glaze-51970201
