I would have loved to be the stay in the house reading kid. With five kids my mom kicked us out as much as possible. She even packed us a lunch on good days. No wonder I only had one kid. Seven people in a three bedroom one bath house is more togetherness than anyone needs. So, lots of outdoors but begrudgingly.
