Nice post Scott, except I didn't do anything!
Mr. Yun Kyung Ho has done a great job setting up for the 2015 Presidents Cup and now he ranks amonsgt the very best in the world -- and now joins a small fraternity of elite superintendents around the world who have significantly helped to position the Presidents Cup at least on par with the Ryder Cup at this point (and many expect the PCup event to move higher and faster now in the firmament of golf).
The golf course is in superb condition and gives others such as Augusta National strong competition for top tier tournament preparation ranking -- AND Jack Nicklaus Golf Club of Korea has 20 times the year-round play wear that Augusta gets (not meant to diminish our colleagues' work at Augusta in any way).
Also, longtime GCSAA member and Nicklaus Design Agronomist Jon Scott should get a ton of credit for having picked the perfect grass varieties for this very difficult climatic location. Jon set the direction of the course in the early stages and got it right -- he's always my go-to guy on grass selection!
Mr. Yoon is a well respected member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Korea (GCSAK) and I am also proud to be an Honorary Member of this esteemed group of professionals. GCSAK web site is located at this URL:http://www.gcsak.co.kr/korean
This was the first venue in Asia to host this prestigious match-play competition and I predict that we will see this week's great success in Asia push the Presidents Cup a notch above the Ryder Cup. There is a long history behind the Tour's creation and evolution to the Presidents Cup that goes back to the 1970s with the farsighted, hard work of both Deane Beman and Jack Nicklaus that set the directions everyone enjoys today. Study your USA golf history to understand it better!
Well done Yoon Kyung Ho, Jay Sporl and Jon Scott -- and Cal Roth also gets credit for his unassuming management style that was wise enough to assign this one to Jay.

Rave reviews for President's Cup conditioning
Yoon Kyung ho If you think you're going to have to burn the midnight oil to watch this weekend's President's Cup competition — it will be the middle of the night in most of the U.S. when the matches take place — just think about the men and women preparing Jack Nicklaus Golf Club of Korea in ...
