Typepad HTML Email Thanks for your reply, Chelsea! But I don't really understand what did you meant by the page that stands alone, like a report; and how the webpage will look like when they are not stands alone? Can you provide some examples for the webpage that stands alone and doesn't stand alone? Thanks again for your help!

Hi, Chelsea! I've read through your post regarding how to write the reference for a website, it helps a lot in clearing up my ambiguity. Thank you! However, I am quite confuse about when to italicize the title of document in a web page reference. For example, the template of web page reference is: Author, A. (date). Title of document [Format description]. Retrieved from http://URL (as written in http://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2010/11/how-to-cite-something-you-found-on-a-website-in-apa-style.html?_ga=1.61115813.804563041.1469770498 ), and the title of examples stated are not italicized. On the other hand, the title of the example written in this page is italicized. I've tried to search for answer in this page ( http://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2010/01/the-generic-reference-what.html ) but I couldn't find the related answer that applicable to web page case (as what she has mentioned was related to journal article and book only). Therefore, it would be great if you can give some guidance to us about when to italicize and when not to italicize the title of a web page. Thank you.
